How many maps will come with H4

Obviously I don’t expect anyone to have the right answer, im just asking how many maps you think Halo 4 will come with. Also, to make this a little more interesting, how many maps would you like on the Disk.

I want a big number that isn’t mostly just Forge maps.

At least 12 unique map’s with a couple of forge based one’s thrown in, i really disliked Reach’s map’s which were both ripped from campaign and had a bit too many forge based map’s added too.

lol no… no forge maps as “full map” like bungie has done with the cage… Oh look we have X amount of maps and three of them are forge maps… srsly dont do that -Yoink- again 343.

I agree with not ripping them all from campaign. I liked the few halo 3 maps that were so original and yet had nothing to do with the campaign (like guardian). As long as I get one really big empty forging map, I’m fine with however many maps they release. Because once you include an amazing forge experience, the maps become endless (and SOMETIMES end up better than the original maps).

I dont mind 1-2 forge full map’s being added just as long as there is 10-12 unique map’s, i just dont want half the map’s to be made in forge.

8 normal maps+ DLC later on
1 forge map, being called forge world, I mean, if you are going to forge, forge on a expanse open canvas.
6 Firefight maps+ DLC later one

Try to build at least 2 maps around campaign and have the rest be fun random places
Firefight should be built around campaign but with one being a random fun place and see how that works.

I want at least 10.

With our regular gametype selection: ten. But if Invasion makes it into Halo 4, and it should, at least fourteen are needed of which four or five are Invasion maps and rest are normal maps. But if I were to decide the number, I would like to see at least eighteen quality maps when the game launched. But realstically, I’d take eight quality maps over sixteen bad maps any day.

Other way around. they were made for multiplayer first then were added to campaign later.

I remember a time when anything less than 20 maps was just considered bad design. Hell, even 20 was kind of light. Makes me sad that people are excited at the prospect of 12.

Between small maps (2v2, 4v4), mid sized maps (4v4), Large maps (BTB, Invasion), and a few forge friendly (not one massive forgeworld, a few differently themed smalled space, like foundry/sandbox), the number of maps SHOULD be massive.

So if we’re not counting FF maps
Small: 4
Medium: 4
Large: 4
Invasion Specific: 4
Forge Specific (ala foundry/sandbox): 4

3+4+3= 10

I think there should be at least 12 initial maps.

Hopefully 15 maps, 3 of which are remakes from Halo 2.
