I have had this discussion with a couple of friends of mine who claim that being girls that they wouldn’t play video games even if they didn’t have any hobbies at all. They also say that most girls wouldn’t be into video games. Also they don’t believe in relationships stemming off of video games causing a neutral ground and strong foundation to meet guys to be a way to meet new people. So I’m going to set the record straight and let you gamer girls say what you feel about all of this. Feel free to speak your mind.
Are you one?
Plus, I’m friends with one on XBL, but I don’t think you’ll meet any girls browsing a video game’s forums.
SilverArwing, before I start, I must ask.
Are you a chick or a dude?
I know plenty of female gamers.
Of course there are female gamers, I know several of them myself!
I’m a guy first of all. Second of all no I’m not looking to meet more gamer girls I’m just tired of having this argument with my friends and I’m using this as proof that I’m right.
Someone hasn’t heard of twitch.tv or the evalkyries apparently. oh and gamers are gamers either male or female. The whole label ‘girl gamer’ is just annoying and what people say when they think of a female playing because they think it’s some mythical creature that doesn’t exist. If you are part of the live stream community as I am you will know that females don’t just play games but they beat guys at their own games.
I’ve seen / know many Halo and CoD females players who have 2.0+ k/d’s and can publicly destroy any guy they face on their live stream. It’s freaking hilarious and just proves that gaming is gaming and gender really doesn’t have much to do with it when it comes to skills in a game. I go to my friend for CoD advice because she’s just that damn good at it.
I think stereotypes are bad.
> I think stereotypes are bad.
Nuh uh, you’re a dumb girl just like all the others!
Dear girls reading this, don’t take that seriously.
I think it’s just that girls don’t use their headsets as often? I’ve never heard a girl on matchmaking, but I’m sure many of them are girls.
I agree with you Mystical Gaming.
> I think stereotypes are bad.
I hate stereotypes, they’re never good.
> I think it’s just that girls don’t use their headsets as often? I’ve never heard a girl on matchmaking, but I’m sure many of them are girls.
Note: That’s a site with messages from guys to girls on Xbox Live.
There are plenty of female gamers. I am not one, but I know many and have seen many.
They usually just don’t talk as much.
I dislike the term “gamer girl”. It implies that they are different to regular gamers which they aren’t. I think someone here already summed it up quite well.
Thank you all for your input. I greatly appreciate it and totally agree with all of you.
I know a few female gamers personally and some others through XBL.
Honestly? more than you’d think. I didn’t think there were that many until I got older, now there’s plenty.

Those messages are weird…

The numbers grow everyday. ^ pretty much what he said. They aren’t hard to find. THe hard part to find are the ones that are actually TRULY into it for a solid Hobby. The type of gamer varies.
