Just curious. If she DOES goes Rampant, we don’t know. What we do know is Cortana going through the effects will be a major point to the story, so, my question for the community is.
How many games should this span? Should Cortana and her possible rampancy span all the way until the end of Halo 6? Should it be resolved/finished in Halo 4? Half way through Halo 5?
Would you want this plot device to be one of the final things resolved in Halo 6?
Personally, I would find it annoying if it spans past Halo 5. I think the issue should be resolved in Halo 4, or halfway through Halo 5.
Either at the end of Halo 5 or Halo 6.
I think the end of Halo 5 would be acceptable.
Honestly, I want Halo 6 to focus on ‘Ok, Finish the fight again!’ not ‘Finish the fight! While worrying that Cortana can go off at any moment’ I personally think that would de-rail the plot.
I just hope that when the time comes John will be the one to end it.
It should definitely be resolved in Halo 4 (a full character arch for a full game) unless a radical change happens (as in, she suddenly becomes an enemy- which would be stupid IMO) at which case it should be resolved in 5 or 6.
Cortana has had most of Halo 3. Her issues should be resolved halfway through Halo 4 to free up the rest of the trilogy for new enemies.
