Since your eligibility for the initial flight is based on how much you have participated I’d like to know how many flights people have to their name to kind of determine an average number.
If you don’t feel comfortable sharing this or I’m not allowed to ask this let me know / take down the topic.
I have 7 flights completed on my personal insider page.
EDIT:
I got my invite! Really wondering on what they want me to play.
> I got my invite like some of you here. If you got more that 7 under your belt and actually participated here and there I’m guessing you’ve got good odds. I don’t think I have more than 6 hours of actual play time.

In the inside infinite post they mentioned that long standing insiders would be the first consideration in filling up the slots. Along with other criteria yes, but time spent in the program counts.
> For the tech preview, we have concurrency targets tied to our overall goals that will inform how many total Insiders should be invited. Within that pool of players, our first priority will be ensuring we have a broad distribution of platforms (Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and different PC configurations) and then we will look at overall tenure in the program, prioritizing our longest standing Insiders, until we’ve allocated every invitation.

Ooooh, right. I gotcha. I wasn’t challenging you, by the way. I was genuinely curious; I haven’t had a chance to read the latest Inside Infinite yet.
I have about seven maybe eight flights to my name (though only five appear on my Insider page).
I think I only participated in the first or maybe second flight of MCC ever, but after that I took a hiatus from gaming so I haven’t done much more. I wonder if it shows up in my Insider page.
I would like to point out that people who use these forums are going to be very active Halo players. The average flights of players here will be a lot higher than the total amount of Insiders.
I’ve got 5 unique flights since the Reach ones. If you want to include each platform as it’s own flight (I play on PC and Xbox) then I’ve got 7.
I’ve got 6 flights behind my belt (technically 8, but that’s because I got invited to both the Windows Store and Steam versions for 2 of them), but I have a suspicion that I won’t actually get into this upcoming one.
I think I have like 9 or 10 maybe. It’s hard to give an exact number. I have been in every MCC flight since the Reach Xbox multiplayer flight. They only started doing things through waypoint when they were working on Halo 2 so only 6 (unique) flights show on my Insider profile. I know in addition to the 6 on my profile there was the Halo CEA flight, and I think 2 or 3 Halo Reach flights (Xbox multiplayer one, PC multiplayer, PC firefight?). I also participated in the Halo 5 beta back then, but that probably doesn’t count since that was before the Insider program was a thing.
0 to my name but hopefully I get picked because I just got the series X and playing halo 5 and MCC is WAY better and smoother! I would love to play infinite flight with that smoothness.
No flights to my name. I have 18 days worth of Halo 5 playtime. Similar for reach. I became an Insider 15th June 2021.
Hopefully I am fortunate enough to be enlisted as I am eager to flight test Infinite. Although prioritizing “longest standing insiders” would likely place me a ways behind in the listing.
If I understand correctly, “longest standing” simply refers to the date a user applied as an Insider, and the priority mechanism will not account for amount of actual ingame time/contribution to forums?

My understanding is that either the time since first sing up or amount of flights participated count towards your priority. Also this priority only kicks in after they’ve selected players based on their hardware and availability and such. Anyone can correct me if I’m wrong.
Don’t think Halo in game play time counts for anything in this case.
