How many of the threads in Halo: Escalation do you think will make it into Halo 5: Guardians (ie the current state of the Janus Key, Sali 'Nyon ect)?
Since even they can probably see the ridiculousness of having anyone utter “Sali 'Nyon” out loud in a remotely serious context, I doubt he’ll make it past Escalation.
Issue 17-18.
I feel like Sali is just going to be a footnote in the greater scheme of things. A ploy to make the comic arc more interesting.

I’m sure he’ll appear regardless of his name. He’s basically making a third Covenant that doesn’t follow 'Thel or 'Jul. That sounds pretty important if you ask me, and it probably won’t be destroyed anytime soon.
Hopefully Sali 'Nyon just has a pronunciation different from its spelling so everyone doesn’t laugh themselves to death when it’s spoken out loud.
The Spirit of Fire plot thread is either leading into halo 5 or Halo Wars 2
The return of the Arbiter is more or less confirmed. For the UNSC Spirit of Fire, I doubt we’ll see it in Halo 5, but it’s likely that 343i will tell us what happened to her crew at some point in the future. For Sali 'Nyon, I also doubt we’ll see him in Halo 5, he just seems like a secondary character who might be crushed before Escalation ends. Of course, it would be very interesting if Halo 5 had many Covenant factions (it’s pretty much confirmed, since there will be the Arbiter’s faction and “Covenant enemies”).
