How many colonies survived the war?

This is something I’ve been wondering a while since Halo 4 came out and the new media. In Halo 3 it was clear that Earth was the last strong hold yet now it seems like everything is better than ever and somehow the Covenant is the one in the -Yoink- position. That crazy BS is for another time but right now i just want to know what colonies survived if that is unknown is there an estimation on how many could of survived.

I forgot what video i was watching but i think it was Halo Canon and the guy there was describing that only 17 of our worlds remained functional after the war. That is a way more reasonable number than what someone told me that hundreds had survived.

Can i get a hand here or am I in the dark? Draven would never do a thing like that.

Thanks for the help. I know it would be crazy to list he status of every planet but this record is pretty good on giving a sight on the subject thanks.

Damn! 2589 for reach to be reterraformed and resettled? not in Chiefs time then most likely.

I was actually working on making a list of them, but after realizing that I could just link to the page instead, I erased the 15 minutes of work that I put into the list and linked to the Halopedia page.
