How long does probation last?

I had been playing several games of split screen online Living Dead with my cousin the other day, and admittedly the wireless connection I have to the router downstairs is pretty terrible at times (not all the time, a few days ago I was actually getting the jackpot bonuses for NOT quitting!). We lagged out of multiple games (and also quit one game of Team SWAT due to the lag being so bad we were still black screen over a minute in). Since then, when I logged on the next day (and each day since) it keeps bringing up the quit probation message. I am actually waiting til it goes away to play again, so would just like to know how long it lasts for. (Note it would also be obvious that I’ve not been quitting many games at all due to the fact I we stayed in a team snipers match the previous day which we lost 50-18, which really wasn’t all that fun, and would have in the past probably been one I would have quit for that exact reason.)

I can understand perfectly why there is a quit probation, and support it to prevent habitual rage quitting, so I’m not complaining about it in that respect, it’s just annoying to see it come up each day.

Edit: Also another quick question, if anyone can answer the slight weirdness of why my cousin was sometimes having less lag than me when playing split screen. Sometimes during those living dead games my cousin would have started and I would still be black screen for a few more seconds! Anyone have an idea why?

I got that message quite some time ago.
I kept getting black screens so left the games out of sheer frustration.
The message appeared for about a week or so each time I logged on.

Depends on how many times you have quit while on it.

Let’s say you get put on probation and don’t quit at all, it tends to last 24 hours.
However, if you quit while on probation, it will extend for another 24 hours, and if you quit again, another 24 hours.

As for your black screen problems, there is nothing you can do about your cousin getting it slightly faster, other than figure out what’s wrong with your internet as a whole.

This happened to me last year, I kept disconnecting from Xbox Live, it turns out it was my router, so I bought a new one and I’ve been fine ever since. Maybe you should look into buying a new router?
