I used to have a lot of time on my hands before I went into sciences in college, I have not yet gotten the game as of right now. Can somebody please fill me in on this? I’d hate to find out that Halo just turned into another MMO with the progression system, grinding for better weapons & armour abilities isn’t really my thing.
(I have a 2.0 k/d if that helps)
p.s. one more question, how strong is the light rifle? It’s the only weapon I don’t really have a feel for from watching youtube videos.
it doesnt take long i played 13 matchmaking games, i am already sr 16 without double xp and everything is unlocked pretty quickly, armor is free so you dont spend spartan points on it, the lightrifle deals the most damage and shoots a little slower but if you zoom in it is one shot per trigger pull and hip fire is 3 round burst so its pretty much the br and dmr combined hope i helped.

It wont take long to level. im 31 at the moment, but there is a daily xp cap not sure on the number of xp it is but its there. As for the gun i don’t like it very much. It seems a bit slower than the DMR or BR.
some people are over 40 by just playing about 30 matches, that means people will reach the final rank in about 1 week

So that’s what those are…LOL…whoops.
I hate the light rifle, the dmr beats it almost everytime, and im level 28 after 2 days of play, its starts slowing down after level 20, but its relatively fast so far, shouldn’t be to bad if you have double xp, which i dont have 
I just got xp capped at lvl 42. hopefully in a few hours it will be lifted and i can grind again… only 5 more games until I unlock the monthly war games challenge. Must not lose that in the xp cap. stupid cap
