I got banned 4 days ago for leaving a game of breakout (2 teammates were afk). Today I’m still banned. From what I read online bans last from 15 minutes to 2 hours, and permanent bans are only for hacking. Why am I still banned?
As you say, bans don’t normally last very long.
What’s happening on your end? Does it continue to display the Banhammer message or is it a question that you can’t find a game in any playlist?
Also, have you tried power cycling your Xbox?
Yup, the message is still up, and it won’t let me join any game. And power cycling didn’t help.
What does the message say?
Also, you might try making another account to see if it has the same issue.
The message says: Matchmaking ban rules in effect for repeated quitting, betrayals, inactivity, or other misconduct.

That message always appears on the menu screen. It’s just the standard boilerplate warning not to break the rules.
Ignore it. What happens when you try to enter a game?
I go back after about 3 minutes, because it doesn’t even connect me. My WiFi Is allright because twitch and everything else works fine.
It’s not a ban issue.
For some reason, it sounds like you’re having difficulty finding a game. Try letting it search in all playlists for the full five minutes they recommend, use a hardwired connection and troubleshoot your network.
My friend got banned from arena for getting booted from the servers for an unknown reason and the ban said he’s banned till 2053 so it could be broken or glitch I wouldn’t know because I don’t get banned.

It is most likely because the OP stated one simple thing, they’re on WiFi. Xbox One in general doesn’t do well in matchmaking with WiFi, they need to get a wire for their system and see if the problem persists. if it doesn’t then they need to hard wire their Xbox. Most wireless routers have STRICT NAT. Most wired connections to routers are given OPEN NAT. It’s most likely an NAT problem on the OP’s end.
