How long does 1st ban for leaving last? Halo4

I quit a few games, blah blah blah, and yea, it says I was banned for quitting too much. How long does that last?

1 hour ban.

1h long, this info can actually be fond on the msg that pops up about your ban.

For quitting? It should be over 24 hours…

Not long enough considering all the problems quitting causes.

Sometimes quitting is justified and there’s plenty of times the host has issues and everyone gets DNF.

I think the quit bans do more harm then good because they diminish the population and this game has the worse networking then Halo Reach so disconnections and DNF’s are a lot more common.

When this game pairs me up with a European host within seconds of searching I leave the lobby, I’m not interested in playing on a 400ms host where actions/shots don’t register and I’m teleporting frequently.

No. Quit bans are good. The bans should be longer. Why? To clean up the matchmaking from constant rage quitting scrubs.

In a game with JiP, why does it matter if or why anyone quits?

People are never going to get through life quitting all the damn time. They need to learn how to accept losses.

Even when you jip, stay in the game and help out the team. Don’t leave them like the other person who quit…

The ban should be longer, period.

Video Game does not equal Life. Losses in life are unavoidable. Video games should, within reason, be fun. Not a grind. I’m sure there are no two players who would agree on when the experience crosses the threshold between the two, so we are all left to decide for ourselves. Personally I find that the threshold is crossed often.

So thanks for trying to make me a better person (if indeed that is all your argument amounted to), but I can handle the character-building for myself.

With jip quitting bans should not exist. Most jips I get on btis are into pro games, which I have no desire to play. Infinty is my chosen playlist, so I should not be expected to play a playlist that I find boring.

If Video games are supposed to be fun and not a grind, your quitting is what causes it to be not be so for everyone else.

Consider that next time.

Fair point however they still ban people for quitting out of FFA which is BS especially with jip.

If I quit and 343 JiPs another player into the match then why would you care? Would you even notice? Or are you saying the player who filled my spot is somehow worse off? Is that because he didn’t get to vote for the match? Is it because you assume that the only reason a player quits is because the game is 250 to 90 and that 343 and I are colluding to throw this new player to the wolves? What???
