How "Limited" is the LE and Console bundle ?

To me the LE would have 250,000 units for the whole world for it to be “Limited”, but it most likely will be 2 to 3 times that at launch (500,000 to 750,000) =(

And for the console bundle “Limited” to me, would be 50,000 bundles for the whole world, but it most likely will be 2 to 3 times that at launch (100,000 to 150,000) =(

“Limited” doesn’t mean what it should =(

As for the Regular Edition of Halo 4, there would most likely be 2 to 3 million of them for the whole world at launch. (Not including the Regular Editions that are in the bundle).

The number of Regular Editions is perfectly understandable, but if the numbers I listed above for the LE and console bundle are true, then they really shouldn’t be called Limited Editions =(

They can really only be called “Limited” compared to the Regular Edition of Halo 4 . .

I have a feeling that Halo 4 will turn into COD MW3 and Battlefield 3 . . Their Limited Editions were and in some places still are available to buy.

Why can’t “Limited” really mean “Limited” ?

ps When Halo Reach came out Bungie said “These will be truly Limited” . . But after launch every BestBuy and Toy’s R Us had Legendary Editions and console bundles =(

You’re really under-shooting here. I expect the Standard Edition to sell between 5 and 6 million. I expect the the Limited Edition to sell around 1 to 2 million copies.

The Limited Edition is limited, but there has to be enough to meet the demand at launch. How would you feel if you picked up the game the following day after midnight release and they were out of Limited Editions?

It is all part of advertisement. They want to sell their product. If someone sees that there is a limited time offer on something cooler than what most people have then it makes them more likely to buy it. BTW the name does not matter to me I just bought the LE for all the extra stuff.

Meh, honestly don’t care how many there are as long as I get one lol. I don’t have any feelings that I need to own something that not many have, I just want the goodies. I don’t care how many others also get it, I’m perfectly fine with sharing the joy with as many people that want the LE.

I can understand why some people might want it to be truly really limited though, not saying it’s bad or anything, I just don’t care about it like that at all.

I wasn’t talking about how many copies Halo 4 will sell at launch, I was talking about how many 343 will have available at launch . .

I really think and hope it sells 10 million or more at launch.

And I would’ve wanted the LE and console bundle to be “Limited”, but I understand why they can’t be.

They certainly can limit the LE game if they really wanted to. I had a nightmare of a time trying to pick up a limited edition Wii Game (the newest Zelda) last year for my sister. When I went to pre-order like two months before release they told me that they had reached the limit of pre-orders they could take. They made less than 400,000 of the collector’s edition, and now it has a markup price of like $160 instead of the $80 it cost to order.

Between 500,000 and 750,000 WOULD be limited if they actually limit it, considering its pre-order sales so far (more than half a million in the US alone.)

The point of limited is for it to be available for a limited time.

I guess that since I have pre-ordered both the Halo 4 LE Console, Halo 4 LE Game, and Halo 4 LE Controller. So it would be nice to not have the entire planet w/ their hands on it because that defeats the purpose of calling it LE. (((Shrugs)))

I wanted the Zelda Skyward Sword bundle so bad . . I had two reserved but then I had to cancel them =(

I had a second chance to get one, I saw it at a PC Richards, but I didn’t have the money for it.

I regret it very much that I couldn’t get it =(

I’m not mad that it was limited, because it was a special thing.

And gold/platinum club Nintendo members can get the gold Wii mote . . http://kotaku.com/5933502/skyward-swords-golden-nunchuk-comes-to-north-america

ps Hopefully the Halo 4 LE and console bundle won’t be as rare as the Skyward Sword bundle.
