Today Ebgames AU announced that instead of doing the LCE Disc swap announced by Josh Holmes theyll be doing giving each who purchesses LCE a standard version of that game along with code they already have at no extra cost. The catch to this is that youll to have pick it up on the 27th! This explains why they changed the release date on website to the 27th a while back and seeming Ebgames NZ has changed their date from 20th-27th and NZ and AU are internally linked it’s safe to say their doing the same thing!

This is the thing that bugs me if 343 and Microsoft are doing this for other countries then why do people that have pre order the Limited collectors edition that live in Australia and New Zealand do not have any information about how this is go to work
Due to our location at the -Yoink–end of the world (Aussie here), they might still be working on the logistics? I’m guessing. I don’t have much stake in it as I’ll have a physical copy but it would be interesting to find out.
Would this also apply to the limited edition Halo 5 console too, as that doesn’t come with the physical game disc either? Just a download code.

I work for EB games here in Australia and recently got information that EB games will be offering a standard edition of halo 5 at no additional cost upon release of H%, now the catch to this that because of this the LCE in Australia has been pushed back from Oct 20th to Oct 27th to make this possible.
Now I;m not sure if this will EB policy only but considering gamestop in the US owns EB games I would not be surprised to see gamestop offer the same thing with the caveat being you will have to wait 7 days to get your LCE

Cool, thanks for the info! Are there any moves toward including the Halo 5 console for this as well? Got a friend who is eyeballing it but he wants a physical disc to go with the included steelbook bundle.
The console will still launch on the 20th of Oct. and there will be no code for disc offers on it as it launches a week early.
Giving you a disc a week early would be breaking street date which carries heavy penalties in the industry
