I just got my Primordium paperback in the mail. It was in shipment for like three weeks. When I went to put it on the shelf, I noticed it was substantially larger than Cryptum and every other Halo book in there (except Evolutions I & II).
Is there a normal size paperback for Primordium?

I get your frustration by the way. The last Harry Potter dvd doesn’t have a picture of Harry on the side like the rest of the dvds. Bit frustrating for this fan anyway.
Only a blithering idiot changes the size of a book in the middle of the series. I don’t know if it’s occurred to anyone at Tor, but most of us put the books in a series together. And the Primordium book sticks out in my collection like a middle finger flipping me off.
I don’t recall Del Rey doing anything like this.

Hmm…for me Cryptum, Primordium, and Glasslands are all the same size. Granted these are hardcover versions, but it could suggest that Tor has been keeping them the same size. May I ask where you ordered your copy? Perhaps you somehow got some weird third party printing of it or something? I have no idea. 
Mine is small. It’s just a couple of centimeters long and wide.

I got this one from Amazon.com. It’s the only “paperback” book I have that’s inconsistent. Evolutions I & II are “mass-market paperback” so I would expect those to be different.
Wait a minute, the back of this book says “UK £14.99” on it. I’d venture a guess that the thing’s from the United Kingdom. That would also explain why it took three weeks to get here.
I guess maybe Tor in the UK uses a different size for “paperback.”
A couple of my Halo books are different sizes, there seems to be the default small size then I get some varied large books. - Means I can’t put them all on the same shelf together (ANGRY FACE)
I know of three types of novels:
Paperback books should be about the same size as hardcover books. Mass-market paperbacks, however, are a lot smaller.
