When I search Team Slayer, I DO NOT WANT TO JOIN A GAME IN THE MIDDLE STAGES WHEN A TEAM IS LOSING. I want to play a full game. I say the only time a player can join in progress is when a player on the team invites his friend to come. The system would analyze if that player can join, and he’ll play. If this doesn’t happen, make it so that the player can only join within the first 2 minutes of the game. I don’t want to join at the end of a game with 3 minutes left.
I get you. And completely understand but can they put it so it can do that for you
I’d rather not see any mid-game joining, myself.
If it had to be in, I don’t want to be dropped into a losing team. That’s one thing that I love about Halo, you get a fair shot every game. Inviting friends in might be feasible, though. I’m worried about people using that to be paired with less-skilled players.
Ex: Your low-level friend searches for a game, finds one, harasses teammates, teammates leave, friends join, unjust pwnage occurs.
Granted that’s a stretch, but it’s a concern nonetheless.

I don’t think it matters much in Social Team Slayer, since there’s not too much true skill. But in more competitive playlists, because of the idea you just proposed, they really need to take out In-Game Joining for those playlists.
I agree with you you shouldn’t be able to join a game if its more than half over. However, i hate how some people quit at the beginning of games and in that case one should be able to join
This would cater a bit to noobs. I’m hoping it only happens to more social oriented playlists, or you can disable it when searching.
Agreed
theres gonna be playlists where there is no joining games so stop tripping…
people that want to can and YOU DON’t HAVE2.

And there will be playlists that I enjoy that WILL have Join-in-progress.

When did they confirm that? I missed it. I really hope that’s true.

Why am I tripping? I’m pretty sure no one wants to join a game where there is 2 seconds left. Just saying. Also, speak proper English. I don’t want to hear no one’s “slang” on an internet forum discussing the future of Halo 4.
I was actually looking forward to joining mid game and making a come back for my team.
I hate joining in a heavily losing team in other games. That’s not enjoyable. And usually when you join mid-game, you join in a team to replace a ragequiter who quited because of team getting beated. Another minor annoyance is caused by joining in a game and then it ends before you get to play.
I can understand mid-game for larger matches with higer player counts. Like 8v8 and only if the scores are under 50% from object. For example you can join in a Big team slayer if winning team has less than 50 kills (assuming that the target is 100)
Mid-game joining isn’t really needed for small matches. People don’t quit that often. When I play 4v4 playtypes, seldomly someone quits.
I’d make it a search restriction. If you turn off join in progress, you would only get put in fresh games. If you leave it on you would get put in games that are fresh to half way over, giving you the benefit of faster search times as incentive to join in progress.
the main reason why I lose games in objective game types (invasion, CTF ect) is because of players leaving, allowing players to drop in at any time during a game to even the teams out isn’t necessarily a bad thing, I mean hell if you loose a game you have equally yourself and your team-mates to blame. Also on my view search restrictions should be optional
How about you get to choose preferences on when you want to join a already in progress game. For example I don’t want to join a game that’s more than half way through so I set it so I only join games less than half way through from finishing, this includes points scored by winning team and time limits.
