Can someone please explain to me how they find this mode enjoyable at all? I mean, its a complete mess of unbalanced, chaotic randomness with no sense of direction or flow at all. Am i missing something here? Big Team Battle is my favorite mode so i dont understand why i dont enjoy this
Different strokes for different folks. Sometimes I want to hunt down AI bosses for points and call in a bunch of reqs to blow stuff up. Sometimes I want to attack in coordinated BTB fashion with map control. It’s a different itch to scratch.
Probably cuz your taking it to seriously. Just go in and dont worry about winning or losing

That is what makes it fun. And I use it towards closing out commendations. But mostly just to do some mindless mayhem.
I have played BTB for over 10+ years. I enjoy the vehicular chaos. I absolutely LOVE the chaos in Warzone. Plus it has JIP, 24 players, no team killing (besides splatters) , AI enemies, AI friendlies, and AI boss battles.
I think Warzone is the best mode ever added to the Halo franchise. You cant worry as much about winning. It is a much more casual, laid back experience. If you go in taking it too serious or if you are obsessed with W/L or K/D then no you wont enjoy it. If you lose, you really don’t lose anything. Unless you put on a win boost. Still, just don’t take it too serious. You can also just have fun working on commendations.
Yeah it’s supposed to be kinda crazy. If you’re crazy competitive then it’s probably not for you. If you go into it with a fun-having mindset then you’ll probably like it.
You CAN make it competitive, though, if you get a group together. I was on a 12 man team last night and we went on quite the win streak. It’s really fun to coordinate and strategize (and of course to completely obliterate the enemy team)

Exactly what he said.
Though, OP, what did you mean by no sense of direction or flow? I think the objectives are pretty clear in the game, and when a team actually works together instead of running about like spazzes, it’s a lot of fun. Unless, did you mean some sort of over-arching direction, like ranking or something?

I’ll second this. Warzone is the mode I go to when I want to veg out. I don’t care about my Warzone stats (although I’m decently proficient at it) because it’s just pure chaos.
I would prefer they limit team sizes for just that reason Badger. I think I was on the receiving end of one of your foot stomping sessions. Kinda takes the casualness of the game away.

Yeah ive tried just going for the AI, but the last shot kill stealing makes me want to throw a puppy in a fire pit.

Amen. It’s just a game.

Spare the puppy!
It’s annoying when you’re on the losing end of that encounter…but be honest, it’s nice when you get the last shot and all the points for it.
I have fun in it because there is so much going on. I would have preferred Firefight or Spartan Ops Season 2, but Warzone is fun in its own way.
My problem with Warzone is more with the REQ system and how they limit your experience with pay-to-win RNG, and not really with the gametype itself though. If they gave you all the weapons from the get go, with timers on them so you couldn’t use them over and over I think that would have been more fun.

No im talking about the whole team running around like spazzes lol 99% of the times that i go for bases or bosses im completely alone. Its probably more fun with friends i guess.
Yeah, if you are lucky enough to get a full group of 12 friends together WZ is a blast

Thats so hard for me lol im way too competitive i guess.

Yup exactly why you are not enjoying Warzone. The ONLY way you can enjoy Warzone if you are obsessed with being competitive, is if you get a 12 man crew. Otherwise Warzone is built for as a casual, chaotic experience.
Warzone is THE top reason I even considered Halo 5. Without Warzone I would not have bought H5 especially since H5 did not launch with BTB.

That’s my biggest gripe with the mode. Essentially ruins it for me, why I generally stick with Warzone Assault.
Believe it or not, some people actually play games for the PvE.
Warzone provides a nice medium between playing against AI & playing against real people. It’s like a more social & in-depth version of firefight.
I’m not a big fan personally (unless inebriated) but it’s not difficult to see what the appeal is.
