To me, this sounds as close as you can get to halo, without trying to copy Marty directly. This could fit in with halo 3 or halo reach easily.
I also don’t understand how some people think the new music isn’t good or won’t fit.
It’s a new company, a new trilogy, and a new composer. You can’t expect it to sound exactly like Marty’s work on the previous halos. It’s also a new unknown world with a lot of mysteries and a new enemy, so some of the OST will sound very different from the previous games to get that feel of mystery.
I’m not trying to rant, but I personally think that these new soundtracks are almost better than marty’s.
To me it’s not exactly Halo, because after all these years of Marty I haven’t mentally linked that style of music with Halo yet.
I don’t DISLIKE the music though. I think it’s epic and awesome. Once I get used to it as being a part of Halo, then I will call it Halo. It’s just a bit too early at the moment.
I guess it could still be considered Halo but it just sounds different compared to the previous Halo themes. I like/dislike it. I wouldn’t complain about it but I think there could be another song used for the main theme IMO. IDK.
