How is this happening?

The decisions being made for this game are baffling me… I can’t believe THIS is Halo now… I’m just glad my bestfriend died in October 2021 of his lung disease thinking that this game would be how you guys were promising it was going to be after years of disinterest and disappointing launches, he had hope… I did too, then we got what we got… only some of my favorite parts of the franchise aren’t even coming to the game for like 9 months, if firefight doesn’t make it, imma be more sad than I already am…

I don’t hate 343, I just can’t believe that this is where we’re at now… where pre-launch promises don’t matter and the store is the only “live service” anything about the game, I don’t know anything about this, but apparently realigning a cosmetic takes 3 months? Why did Jorge’s shoulder pad ship untextured and remains so for months in a battlepass that we PAID money for in a game that was considered ‘ready-to-ship’ while a bulk of fan favorite armor they knew we wanted was forced into the shop?

What happened to Halo… what happened to professional standards?

Please, 343/Microsoft, I don’t know what you have to do to get this game franchise back on track… but I beg you, for my late friend Myles’ sake as well everyone who loves this franchise. Please figure it out in a way that pays respect to all parties involved…

When making a product for money, the things that comes first are what makes you the money.

I bet the first thing that was made was the store and everything else after that was made surrounding the store. When you do this putting out as little content as possible is what boosts sales for when the new events come into play that bring new content.

It’s called drip feeding.

The modern AAA gaming industry is enabled by the swath of people who buy up $100’s of store cosmetics even when the actual game is neither complete nor polished. It is basically reality that as long as you make something that is mildly entertaining and attach a store to it then you will make money.

After nearly 7 years this is all they have? I know they scrapped development 4 years in, but they’ve clearly saved assets between builds. So what’s the real reason? A 10 year game with only one season of content at launch, and that content isn’t even finished, months after launch…

Apparently the staff has been switching out constantly over the last few years.

It’s like a deli. Once it’s bought out by a new manger. New staff comes in. Sure they might make the same sandwiches but they won’t be cooked and made the same way as the last crew

It’s weird though, when you wait 6 years for the sandwich and it has bread and cheese, but the meat and veggies are being sold for (large) fractions of the price of the meal.

I just.
Five hundred milly.
Five. Hundred. Milly.
BrO. You know what kinds of HOUSES you could build with that? How many?!?! IN 6 YEARS??
FIVE MAPS? NO BTB?
even campaiGN AINT LAUNCH WITH COOP?

Yup and the engine is so difficult to use.
The devs finally learn how to use the engine and then…

“Yooooo, your contract is up. Time to hit the road buster!”

I don’t get why MS/343 would be so against hiring FULLTIME DEVS

This! So much!

One of the mods was accusing me of spreading fake news for using that as my arguments against the game being so broken and hard to fix.

So that bloomberg article and all the repeat articles are lying to tarnish 343i and MS and that whistleblower never worked at 343i and just wanted to slander them? That’s a real stretch lol

Joe or Bonnie need to look at all the old staff listings and rehire everyone from years ago that actually were in engine development on Infinite but only on contract. Because clearly those people are the only ones who knew how the engine worked and might have even sabotaged the engine know they wouldn’t get paid for the fruits of their labor.

I wouldn’t go that far

I’d hope not. But seeing as how the whole thing has been held together by spit, prayers, and duct tape since H2. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did something to the code (unintentionally or not) so when the current devs tried to change and it breaks the whole engine.

Because customer loyalty is a thing of the past. This is currently the case for most industries now unfortunately.
