I mean this is just plain unreal. Dr. Menke, please improve your algorithm, randoms getting spawn trapped and farmed by a 12-man team is not what balanced should look like.
You’re never going to get a balanced game with a full party of decent players against solo players in that type of playlist.

Yeah the other day I was playing against that very same team the OP linked, on Prospect and not only were they solidly smashing us into the ground but they actively backed off from the Armory to let one <insulting term> person on our team capture it. Thus a game that would have ended in about thirty seconds turned into a Phaeton Helios, Hannibal Wasp, and three guass hogs locking down all possible spawns for the next five minutes. No lie, most of us couldn’t even move - if the guass hogs (all three parked side by side with an eye over the only possible space our team could spawn in at) didn’t get us, the air vehicles would.
I don’t know wtf the guy who captured the armory was even thinking. They had wasps and more already up and were roflstomping us for three full minutes and then they conveniently back a mile away from the armory? What did he THINK was going to happen next? We’d suddenly turn the game around or something? Amazingly, not many people quit from that game. Guess they saw being instakilled for five minutes as not being all that bad. Since we literally couldn’t move, unless we spawned a vehicle or something.
But yeah. While the matchmaking system isn’t exactly perfect, there’s almost no way it’s going to function even half decently in any Warzone game, particularly not in this state of Halo 5’s life.

I feel like Warzone assault is particularly bad, while Warzone is already pretty awful. I suggest 343 seriously consider restricting the fireteam size unless they figure out an algorithm that actually works.
343 already knows what the right algorithm is, but that would likely require stricter matching which would cause people to never find a game or it could take awhile because of population issues. Even with stricter matching though, playing against a full party of very good players isn’t going to solve your issue and you’ll still get farmed and spawn camped because that playlist has terrible spawns in general and a party will be more coordinated than solo players. They did party size restrictions in the past, but that didn’t really solve anything and it just made some people leave the playlist.
Firefight gives more xp, for me anyways. I stopped playing Warzone long ago unless Turbo is in rotation.

As Luke said they tried fireteam restrictions and it just made Assault a ghost town as a result, and that was in Halo 5’s prime. Now here at the end of its life, would that really help it any? It’s too late for Warzone to really be helped, all we can hope for is that whatever mode that serves as its successor in Infinite will be handled better. But there’s no denying that any time a team is involved, they’ll always have the advantage over a pool of solo players.
Even when WZ and WZA were 6-man, any time a 5 or 6 man team showed up they’d have a considerable edge over the other team if they were just full solo. It’d often prevent a total curbstomping due to the randoms on their side “messing with things”, but it still gave a substantial advantage to their side regardless.

Agree. Another strategy they should consider is that put people in brackets. That Halo Gods should have a much less chance to match noobs. Players would still get ranked up or down (in WZ, through the hidden MMR). But once a steady-state equilibrium has been reached, the bracket should be much harder to break, so that players don’t get stumped by just namely those few. I don’t know how many times I get matched with Dominated, Heresy, LAs, and the likes and in the game all I can do is just wonder how am I expected to do anything.

Because of the population more than likely. The game does try and find some semblance of balance, but it’s incredibly hard to do in Warzone (Too many things to factor into the equation for starters) but when it can’t find that ideal match, it looks for the next best thing. When it can’t find that either, and it usually won’t here four years after release, it’ll just give you anything. And that’s why we’ll see so many teams: That’s almost all that’s left at this point. If it cant find even that, it’ll boot you back to the menu and complain about “not enough players searching”.
Half the people you matched against don’t care, never will. Their sole reason for playing WZA is to farm you, if they are on defence get comfortable. If they’re on attack it normally won’t be too bad.
In my personal opinion, if they’re not playing the game correctly; eg, capturing and then coring, they should receive a ban. Maybe even a step further and just receive a ban permanently for that playlist.
[Just so people are aware, don’t care if you match as a team, play the game properly.]
Unfortunately though, I know for a fact they each have many alt accounts and don’t give a -Yoink- if they get banned, they’ll move onto another area of Halo to do the same thing. So just quit the game, if you cop a ban message 343 about it with your games and explain why. If they still enforce your ban then I’d be really surprised.
It just happens when there is low pop against toxic companies like bet or some other xp farming group. if you are getting farmed, just dont respawn and rob them of kills.
Getting farmed seems something usual, i think the best you can do is to exploit the situation and don´t loose your mind on that, seems rough though
