How is promethean vision overpowered?

I have a question for all of the people that say promethean vision is overpowered: How? How is promethean vision, as it was when we last saw it, overpowered?

I don’t think it is, and i just don’t get why you think it’s overpowered.

Is it those annoying campers that are scared of this AA?

Also, don’t say that it will help camping, because it won’t. There are other AA’s and based on the way camping works, a motion tracker would be sufficient and i doubt they would use waste there only AA slot on this AA. This AA would be unnecessary for campers.

are you kidding my friend??? YOU SEE THRU WALLS LIKE THERE CLEAR PLASTIC!!! there is no more strategic corner camping or surprise corner sword lunge or around the corner grenade under the feet and bullets to the face. it takes alllll the surprise tactics out of the game cuz of its ease of use and everyone wil use it before going around a corner or wall etc.

Good. No, but really, Promethean Vision doesn’t tell you anymore than a motion tracker does ASIDE from where enemies are “crouching.” A good player can use his motion tracker to “see through walls.” I can tell where all my enemies based on my position in relation to their blip on my tracker. I don’t need PV due to this.

I thought everyone hated camping though, so many complaints that they start to contradict one another.

LOL, camping is not strategic it is annoying. That is part of the reason that promethean vision is a good thing. Also, you can barely see the people through the walls, and they show up in a thin red color. There are other AA’s so not everyone will be using it.

one a radar will not tell u where someone is JUST standing or crouching or crouch walking (which me and my friend do quite often to get the drop on people) but Promethean vision does force other people to charge rather than use sneaky tactics and anyone who complains about camping doesnt know how to do it properly or dies from it alot and what i mean by camping is sticking around a spot for kill or 2 im not talking bout for like 5 mins of the game.

Both radar and ProV are crutches for noobs. Alls they do is make a job easier and tells you where enemies are at rather than outsmarting them and being aware of your surroundings.

So your problem is that PV allows someone to see campers? That’s the only benefit. I think it’s awesome. Maybe you should have a better playing style instead of camping and crouching around.

So it is those annoying campers. I know how to camp quite well and i can be very successful at it. It is a stupid tactic though and it is noobish and cheap. Either way campers are part of the bad side of halo multiplayer. Promethean vision is a good thing. If everybody just camped then nobody would play the game. Camping is also proof of a players lack of skill.

i go for the strategic kill my friend instead of goign head first guns blazing unlike most cod players and thats what halo provides that cod and bf doesnt provide (more strategic options) cuz u can take enough hits to mount a counter attack and what pro vision will do is make all ur enemies in the immediate area on ur screen be seen and that in turn will let there surprise kill be take from them and possible get them killed. why not just give cod inferred that can see thru walls and see how many people use that and just dominate the battlefield!!!

so does the distance of PV only go as far as a radar would show anyway? if thats the case than i see no problem with it. if you can see way past the distance a radar would show then i see a huge problem. anyone know the distance it shows?

if on long enough it goes way past the radar

it isn’t. it gets rid of campers. thats pretty much it. plus we get 2 warnings when someone is using it as well. IMO its probably the worst AA out of all of them. why use up my AA spot when i can just use my radar?

Nerf the recharge time.

Many people who have played the game have used the word “Overpowered” when talking about Promethean Vision. And as you casuals love to point out, “You haven’t played it yet.” But they have. Therefore the only opinions that matter on this topic are that it is Overpowered. And until someone says it isn’t, it is.

Oh ok i understand now. well i think i do, but i wouldn’t call that camping
what I do is hide around the corner until they come up, strategic hiding and waiting when you know they are coming. But I dont like when people stay in one place for long periods of times until someone passes by. PV can counter that or help that so i think it could be used by both sides, but campers will be able to be seen, practically making it useless if you try to do the annoying camping. And it may also make people more eager to go out and actually fight.
I probably won’t use it that much though because I just go out and fight, I dont really care about dying in slayer as long as i take some people with me. the only playlist i do care about living long is in SWAT, but thats just a little competition i have with my friends. I would like PV in SWAT although i highly doubt it. Either way is fine

You know what? You are just afraid that you can’t camp anymore because in all honesty, you must suck at online halo and need to camp in order to get any kills at all. And suprise attack are annoying, just like camping (if you count them apart) it is good that PV will effectively elimiinate that stuff from the game.

exactly with pro vision (thats gonna be its new nickname i bet) its like have a fuckign radar for ur eyes it will make ur radar completely useless cuz u can just use that which fundamental breaks the game cuz it will force others to use pro vision to so they can get the drop on the person pro visioning them or atleast not get the dropped on!

Well, it is not OP. I am also not a casual and I never said that. I have seen PV in action and have decided that it is fine the way it is.

Have you played it?

Armor Lock looked fine to me when I saw the trailers for Reach. Obviously I was mistaken.
