How is New Mombasa?

I read one of the stories in the halo graphic novel(By Brett Lewis and Jean"Moedius"Giraud) and the covenant literally destroyed New Mombasa.Have the people come back?Is New Mombasa getting rebuilt after the glassing?How is New Mombasa in 2557/2558

It is currently part of the atmosphere. The glass that was around the portal has been removed. I assume the residents that survived moved to Old Mombasa which probably would have gotten increased investment due to the massive infrastructure destruction. The portal and surrounding area is controlled by ONI with Wombat drones constantly watching. An airstrip has also been constructed next to the Excession.

If you read Hunters in the Dark it tells you a lot about the place.
