How is multiplayer going to work on Halo 5 because apparently you won’t be able to play with other people unless you have the same update software as them I have to admit sometimes I cancel; updates but seriously how are you supposed to know if you have the same software as your friends are they going to add an update list in the game. Now all this is a theory but if it is true how is it going to work? Please post me back to tell me what you think
Not entirely sure what you’re saying. If I try to cancel an update, it tells me I won’t be able to connect to XBL if I don’t update the game. I thought everybody had the same updates as everyone else?
I can see -Yoink!- doing a push install on their next system, so it’ll be “you need to update before playing” No different then how COD worked. If you had an old playlist, you logged off and back on.
Wait… aren’t you disconnected until you accept an available update? So you can’t even play without updating.

That’s what I thought. I guess not. Apparently it’s a problem.
In order to play over Live, you have to have accepted any available updates to your console.
Playing with your friends in a custom game, not necessarily in matchmaking, would still require this.
Also, if you are connected to the internet, in order to be playing with a friend, and you don’t have the current updates downloaded, why don’t you just download them then?
