In Halo Wars 2 He is alive. HOW IS THIS -Yoinking!- POSSIBLE?
He’s not. It’s non canon, and kinda a joke. Why else would he be in an anime mech?
He’s just for multiplayer, not involved in the story at all, so they can kinda get away with it.
Funny how you didn’t question why Forge was in it - he’s dead too you know!
The same he’s alive after you shot him in Halo 1.
Multiplayer is non canon atleast in the Halo Wars’ games. There’s a reason he isn’t in the campaign. Serina, Arbiter, and Forge are also dead already but they’re in the multiplayer, it’s just for fun.

Technically Serina wasn’t “alive” in the first place, but your point still stands.
I was playing Halo 1 and Johnson pretty much died in every mission including in the ending legendary post credit scene. Don’t look for too much reason, you’ll hurt your head.

I love that they acknowledge that in the Halo 2 intro where someone says to him “You never did tell us how you made out off Halo.” And he responds “Sorry Guns, it’s classified.” They knew full well it made zero sense that he survived but it was still cool having him around.

I think you’re thinking of Yayap. Not Yap Yap. I know the names are confusing.
