I have been wondering this since I heard about CSR. If CSR is solely based on wins and losses, how are games that you JIP going to count towards your rank? Most of the time, games you join in are games where the team you get put on is losing badly. So once CSR comes out, would that count as a loss for you? If it will count as a loss, I’m not going to care about CSR, because it will be extremely frustrating. And for FFA/Regicide, if you join in late, sometimes it is too late to come back. Would that count as a loss?
My suggestion: Make games that you join-in only count towards your rank IF you win. That way it gives you an incentive to stay in the game, because you wouldn’t have anything to lose, but a lot to gain if you can make a comeback. As for people on your team that were in it from the beginning, that would still count as a loss for them if you didn’t make the comeback, because it was their fault the team was losing in the first place.
With my suggestion, it would disregard games you JIP, unless you came back and won. That way it would give you a reason to stay in, cause you would have nothing to lose.
> Never thought of that. I rarely join JiP games as I do the Network trick. Whenever I do and we’re losing badly, I just quit out straight away.
Same here. So if you had an incentive to stay in and try to help your team make a comeback, there would be no reason to leave, because it wouldn’t count as a loss if you didn’t make the comeback.

Too much to ask. They’re usually winning by about 10-15 with map control. Id still quit out.

Yeah it would be a lot to overcome sometimes, but you’re not losing anything by staying in. Unless you’re really concerned about getting slaughtered, and having it hurt your K/D. That’s the only reason you might still want to leave.

I do care a bit about my k/d but not much. I’d mostly just quit out because it isn’t fun. Thats what its about after all. I’d much rather spend that time searching for another game which will be even and fun.
Maybe if they rewarded you will 2 wins or something…

The fact that this comment is hidden proves that the truth hurts.

Well that’s a good point, maybe the reward should be bigger. But then you would face the issue of someone joining in a game where the team was winning, and getting a big reward for free. I guess there really is no way to solve it, unless they just disable JIP altogether, which I’m all for.
It is true, it won’t work. Either it will ignore the JIP game play or it will factor them in and skew the data. There are no other options.
JIP is the most crippling feature introduced into Halo 4 for rank and stats.

Me too. By far my biggest gripe in the game. Causes more problems than it solves.

The fact that I was banned for that comment proves the truth hurts.
