Actually they haven’t shown really ANY footage of level two.
They said they would tell everyone closer to launch about the damn ranks, stop making threads about it.
What’s the matter? Even if the ranking system doesn’t reward skill you’re still going to buy the game. If we’d know how it’s going to work by now you’d probably start complaining about it. It’s to late to change it anyways.

I have not preordered. I will not buy the game if there is no ranking system that rewards skill. It’s not meant to sound like a threat, because I’m sure nobody cares. It’s just that I will have no interest in halo if it’s not in. I’ve never played a halo campaign. Most of my friends are sticking with league of legends, which I am considering doing also. So forgive me for not being patient about literally the only thing I’ve waited to hear about / cared about in halo games

The whole “you should play for fun” argument is severely outdated and lacking since fun can mean 100 different things for 100 different people.
I really feel sorry for people who use that as an excuse

I feel you man, I agree with you as well. I am still going to buy the game because I’m a sucker for Halo, and I’ve been playing it since CE. I really hope it doesn’t turn out like Reach did, because I truely enjoy the days of old ranked competitive playlists. But we will wait and see, buddy.

You’ve never played a Halo campaign?!!! Besides that, they will release more information on the ranking system. I’ll forgive you about patience because we are in a world where people don’t have to wait on anything so patience is a little harder to maintain. Just hold out a little longer and you’ll get your info.

We do know there will be a system, we just don’t know any details. Either we’ll find out in the coming weeks, or it will remain secret until launch.
Personally, I think it’s the later. Releasing any details now will unleash a bevy of inquiries and speculation which would choke the forums. 343i knows how passionate competitive gamers are, and any information released now would just be a tidbit, and would not satiate the masses.

I hear what you’re saying, but I think you’ve missed my point. Constructive discussion about skill rank is almost impossible on this forum. Any discussion quickly devolves into flaming, rank bashing, and quickly goes nowhere. It’s not a generalization, just going from my personal experience and observation.
The fact that they said 1-50 is not coming back has created numerous flame based topics itself. What will happen if they release information about an Arena 2.o? It would be complete chaos.
