How is it possible for spawns to be SO bad?

I’m genuinely curious why these two scenarios happens SO ridiculously often:

  1. I spawn with the guy who killed me literally in my crosshairs, weak, and finish him off.

  2. The guy who I just killed spawns with me presumably in his crosshairs, weak, and finishes me off.

Both of these are stupid, and shouldn’t happen. Why is the spawning system so jacked up?

I bet this happens a lot on Simplex Rumble Pit, huh? Regardless, the spawning logic can’t work out a reasonable spawn because there aren’t enough spawn points on the map.

Both of these situations are exceedingly rare I have no idea what you are talking about. Were you playing rumble pit on simplex or abandoned? The spawns in h4 are fine…

Rumble Pit and Multi Team would like a word with you.

Instant respawn is a horrible thing…

Yeah, instant respawn definitely doesn’t help.

But I don’t remember spawning so close to the action that I just died in while playing previous Halos, or having the unfortunate experience of being on my way back to the action and getting beat down by an opponent who just respawned behind me (applies more to Slayer Pro).

Most maps in past Halos had a pretty good selection of spawn locations, so that even if your primary spawn locations were being camped you had some options for places to spawn where you were relatively removed from combat. And you didn’t have an enemy spawning on that exact same location 5 seconds after you just did.
