How is Halo 4 a 'COD Clone'???

Many hate Halo 4 cause according to them, it’s ‘just a COD clone’ and give it stupid names like ‘Halo Duty 4’ or ‘Call of Halo 4’.

HOW IS HALO 4 LIKE COD!?!?!?

If anything, it’s more a Halo game than Halo 5 is. Halo 5, as much as I love it, plays IDENTICAL to COD: Advanced Warfare thanks to it’s EXO Suit-esque thruster pack.

Also, loadouts, weapon drops/killstreaks and sprint DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY MAKE A SHOOTER INTO COD!!! OTHER SHOOTERS HAVE HAD THESE FEATURES BEFORE COD DID AND MANY SHOOTERS OTHER THAN COD WILL HAVE THEM FOR YEARS TO COME!!!

Edit; If you go on and on about perks, then need I remind you that Star Wars: Battlefront has them, as does Titanfall. Hell, the armour mods in Halo 5 are basically perks.

Second edit; As for flinch, I prefer that to stupid de-scoping!!!

Loadouts and sprint don’t automatically make a game a CoD clone. But they do when they’re blatantly put in place to make the game appeal to CoD fans. Also, you forgot about flinch and you forgot about perks. You mentioned weapon drops, but I can’t think of another shooter other than CoD that let you rack up points for a care package to be dropped onto the battlefield, before Halo 4.

Halo 4 wasn’t a CoD clone. But it took, arguably, too much inspiration from CoD with loadouts, specializations/perks, and ordinance, that ultimately subtracted from the Halo “feel”.

I think, actually, C copied halo!Halo 4 is my lovest halo and it is my first halo game, from that time I launched the halo 4 in my xbox 360,I can’t believe my eyes!Perfect graphic and game, and the story! On a xbox360, nearly a 10-year console! Perfect!

Flinch, Killsteaks, customizable loadouts, perks, ordinance. None of which existed in Halo before, but conveniently appeared during a time where cod was halo’s greatest competitor and was one of the biggest fps out there. So I don’t think it would be too much of a stretch to say that Halo 4 copied cod.

Yeah, people get upset because those things seem to make Halo more like Call of Duty. But judging from my (admittedly extremely limited) experience with Call of Duty, I think very fast TTK and limited motion tracker make it play more like Call of Duty (a.k.a. hide-and-seek with guns) than anything else does.

Halo 4 added loadouts and sprint, things that Call of Duty is credited for bringing to console first-person shooters, and it was during a time when COD was around the height of its popularity. Requisition also reminded people of killstreaks, since they were earned in the same way.

However, to say that Halo 4 is a COD clone is a ridiculous exaggeration. What they all overlook is the fact that Halo 4 was a space-faring sci-fi shooter set in the future, while at the time COD was still grounded in the modern day (In this aspect, COD has copied Halo now.) An even bigger difference between the two games is the fact that COD is a twitch shooter and Halo 4 is a tactical shooter much like its predecessors. If Halo 4 was like COD, then it would take no more than 4 rounds from the assault rifle to kill someone.

I mentioned the weapon drops cause some have compared them to Killstreaks.

Took inspiration??? Yes. But my point was that some label ‘a COD Clone’. In other words, identical to COD in every way.

EXACTLY MY POINT!!! The people who say that Halo 4 is just a Call of Duty game in Halo graphics is clearly ignoring a HUGE portion of the game.
