In the 10 placement matches, what is CSR based off of? In Team Arena for a previous season, I placed into platinum 5. In Slayer for this season, I placed into platinum 2. I played better in Slayer, getting 25 out of the 50 kills in one game, than Team Arena for a previous season and was on the winning team for all 10 placement matches in Slayer. What is CSR based off of if it’s not based off of winning or K/D spread? I wish the ranking system would be fixed.
so you are asking how this ranking system works and immediately saying it needs to be fixed without knowing how it works?
The specifics have never really been delved into.
Technically, every player has a raw CSR value like Onyx players do, it’s just not expressed in the UI. (Each division covers a range of 50 CSR points, I believe). So Diamond 6 would cover CSR scores from 1450 to 1499. Increases and decreases are calculated based on your performance relative to your opponents, like old TrueSkill systems did.
I think population factors into it though as well; I was hovering around Diamond 3 in previous seasons and now I’m down in Platinum (didn’t help that I was running solo and getting poor games). it’s possible that the lower population is shifting you around to where you are in the new player pool.
its based of win percentage, when I play I watch my stats on way point, its all about win percentage. ive had good k/d and pretty bad k/d didn’t matter as long as I was on the winning team I would keep ranking up.
