I finally got Xbox Live Gold after a year of arguing against Microsoft by just creating a new account and wasting all the time, effort and money on my main account so I decided to go play some good ole Halo 3.
Halo 3 is now one of the most frustrating online experiences I’ve ever had. Literally, and I’m not joking or exaggerating one bit, SEVEN games in a row I had a bunch of -Yoink- team killing hence ruining the game and not once did I ever get the option to boot. I swear, I couldn’t get one game without one -Yoink- ruining it so I eventually gave up and played Halo: Reach.
Halo: Reach was fun but some more -Yoinks!- were team killing again but I just decided to get revenge and kill them back but I still had no option to boot. On both games I also had at least one person quitting the game every match I played. It was just ridiculous. It would often come down to 2 v 3 from 4 v 4 or sometimes even 4 v 1.
How is booting and banning going to work in the MCC? IMO it needs to be much harder. If someone team kills you once and takes down your shields again you should get the option to boot because people usually kill you once and then just keep shooting you after so you never get the option to boot. Penalties should be longer.
If booted, an hour probation. Also with quitting the game, do it twice and 15 minutes like usual. Do it three or four times in a day and an hour probation but do it anymore and three days probation. It needs to be harsh because when the game gets old everyone likes to ruin it. How do you guys think it should work? Do you agree or disagree?
I think that gta has a pretty solid way of dealing with obnoxious players. If you team kill yes there should be a boot option as you described, but instead of banning players from the matchmaking experience temporarily they should be entered into a separate matchmaking pool with other disruptive players. Stats are not recorded and the only way to leave the “mean” players pool is by being a good sport. Staying until the end and leaving teammates alone will get you out of the “mean players” pool. Through this way disruptive players only play with other disruptive players and good sports play with other good sports.

I like that idea
I think giving players the option to boot is far too easily abused
I love unheardcarnage’s idea.
Let all the scumbags rot together!
(At least until they have learned their lesson)
What happens when you ban players they just go and play other games.
If they are playing other games Halo numbers go down.
Halo numbers go down Halo servers go down as there is very small community left playing it.
