How I would've handled Personal Ordnance

I don’t want playing to be rewardless. On the contrary. Being “the wingman” is cool, power to them. I want the aggressive players to earn their share of weapons, but I want the hang-backers to live on too. (But Camo campers can die.)

Here is how I would have handled PO in Infinity Settings:

Points required: 100
Increase: 30%

Left: Speed Boost
Middle: Overshield
Right: Damage Boost

Here is how I would have kept it in semi-competitive environments:

Points required: 60
Increase: 0%

Left: Primary of Loadout
Middle: Secondary of Loadout
Right: Grenades of Loadout

Resets on death.

Obviously, this would be coupled with on-map weapons.

It forces the player to use that which they have, rather than wait until they have a sniper rifle, get killed, and then call in another sniper rifle…

Not a bad idea. Kills should be a power up. Assists should be nades. Kills and Assists should give a weapon, but not a power weapon.

I think Armor Abilities, power ups and ammo resupply would be a good system. I’m glad power weapons aren’t in the suggestion.
