Okay so I dont really make it a secret that I dislike Isabel as a character, the only reason I could ever think of was that I was excited to see the Spirit piece together the events of the halo trilogy, the outcome of the war and the rise of the created slowly through the game. Isabel kinda ruined this for me by relegating this to being off screen. (excluding the whole created thing.) So I got to thinking, how could the HW2 could have maintained that? Well I came to this conclusion.
well first I thought it would be best to maintain all the characters so I need a way for Isabel to exist without spoiling the whole thing to the Spirit crew. Well my idea was to make Isabel part of the created, this gives her a great reason to hide the whole ai rebellion from the spirit as well as manipulating them for her own goals. Now we need a reason to make her not spoil the fact that the war ended and that humanity won, I think the best way for this is to make the Banished a group that is trying to stop the Created while still disliking humanity (enemy of my enemy is not always my friend) and Isabel hides the fact that the war is over to trick the Spirit crew into thinking the Banished is a group within the covenant so they can eliminate a pesky thorn in her and Cortana’s side without removing Prometheans from the galaxy. Throughout the game the Spirit crew slowly pieces together that the war ended, what the Banished actually is and Isabel’s betrayal then the last mission is trying to stop Isabel maybe? This can also give the Banished a better purpose for being on the Ark, trying to keep it and Halo installation 09 out of the hands the Created.Okay, thats my idea, tell me what you thing.
