Fairly simple fix to Team Snipers in my opinion.
Step 1: only the S7 Sniper is allowed (nothing else, not even a Sidekick).
Step 2: only Big Team Battle maps in the playlist (Fragmentation, Deadlock, High-power and Breaker)
Step 3: reduce score to win from 50 kills to 25 kills
Thank you for coming to my TEDx talk.
Oof. I bet you don’t spice your chicken.
Don’t like this at all. Add shock rifle, Brute and Covie Snipers moved to QuickPlay and only Shotty Snipers. Problem solved, I prefer shotgun snipers to only snipers.

I have medium heat at Nando’s.
I bet you only have Lemon & Herb…
I appreciate the consistency in your suggested changes, however, I don’t think I’d have much fun in that playlist. That would make for a majority of engagements at long range, which I get you could argue that’s what snipers are for. However, I enjoy medium and short range snipe-on-snipe engagements. I would like it if your suggested gametypes where part of the playlist but I’d also like to have small and medium sized maps and gametypes with the Shock Rifle start. I wouldn’t mind some games with Stalker start as well; I like the weapon a lot. It’s an interesting middle-zone weapon between a sniper and a Battle Rifle and has huge skill gap. The fact that it’s 3 shots with a final headshot or 6 or 7 body shots for a kill gives it a huge skill gap.

You insult me, sir.
First we always have to start with a garlic, onion, black pepper, and paprika base dry rub. If it’s beef or pork chops I’ll pan fry with butter and rosemary, but for chicken I’ll def be adding some sort of heat (I ain’t picky about what kinda pepper, usually cayenne cuz it’s on hand). If we’re talking wings i try to get an even mix and coat of the dry rub with corn starch to get em crispy. But if we’re spatchcocking a whole bird I’m def running it tru the whole herb garden (equal parts oregano, basil, rosemary, cilantro, marjoram, thyme).
AND then, after the roast, we can talk about sauces. I ain’t particular in the slightest, but do lean on mango hab, garlic parm, or ginger depending on the dish and dry rub/spice mixes used.
Which brings me to the crux of the matter: Long range S7-only combat is for sure fun, but it’s only one type of fun. Skewers, Stalkers and (the for some reason missing) Shock rifles are a slightly different flavor of sniper-adjacent fun. Variety is the spice of life.
I’m cool with asking for more sniper-based game modes, but asking for less is just absurd.
The reason players are gonna stay far away is because 343 effed up the sniper’s no-scope. Halo reach had team snipers on small maps like countdown where no-scope battles were very common.
Shock Rifles and Skewer are fine too IMO.
Just have ShottySnipers. Just ShottySnipers.
If we need a variant, we’ll ask for it. Don’t give us stuff we never asked for off the bat which they:
- Never tested with the community
- Isn’t even Shotty or Sniper
Even Brute Sniper for example, with single shot Skewer, is better off as its own gamemode with Skewer only and 300% Reload speed.
Step 1 - Remove Zoom Glint on all weapons
Step 2 - Add in the Beam Rifle
Step 3 - Have Fun
I can agree on step 1, sniper only is what I prefer. However those last 2 i’m not keen at all.
BTB maps in team snipers have always been a drag to play, like playing Adrift in 4v4. It’s alright having 1 or 2, but no more.
In the case of Halo infinite snipers is 4v4 and should be 4v4, but the BTB maps are made to fit 24 players rather than 16. I think you know this hence why you want the kills to be first to 25, because it would play dead slow. I understand there’s a portion of players that want snipers to be a slow real world sniper sim, like people want BTB to play like battlefield.
I don’t think the game playing like molasses is a good idea, especially when it will be 90% hiding or running to see someone. Keep kills 50 and only include small and medium maps. If more maps like Launch site or traditionally sized BTB maps (rats nest, standoff, valhalla) were in the game that would make for better variety than huge maps.
