Alright this is going to be a very important part i said earlier i would be making a new forum every day about how i want halo 5 to look u can check out part 1 here and part 2 here
Ok so halo 4 Was an extremely unbalanced game it had many game breaking elements that were good ideas they just needed to be balanced a lot lot more. I will be discussing many things that halo 4 did wrong and ideas to improve them or to just straight up get rid of them. These will be ideas to improve them in halo 5.
Loadouts
Loadouts: Very good idea the ability to give players more customization and let them choose what weapons and things they want. However it created very unbalanced gameplay i will be covering the whole loadout thing and how to balance it.
Primary Weapons: Keep the battle rifle, covenant carbine, Assault Rifle, Storm Rifle, and Suppersor. Remove the dmr and light rifle these weapons ruin big team battle it turns big team into a long range shooter making vehicle play not as important as it was in halo 3 and halo 2 and allows people to camp in 1 spot and just shoot people across the map the whole game with they’re dmr/lr this promotes camping and using the armor ability active camo so they can not be seen as easy <mark>not to mention it ruins Close quarter combat that halo 3 and halo 2 were known and loved for.</mark>
Secondary Weapons: Remove the plasma pistol and boltshot from loadouts and make them map pickups. Spawning with the plasma pistol ruins vehicle play instead make it a map pickup so vehicles dont just get wrecked when ever someone trys to drive. A secondary weapon should never be a instant 1 shot kill. This not only is annoying to get killed by but it promotes camping and is the weapon to switch to when ever you are about to get out gunned in a close quarter combat fight. Just keep magnum only secondary.
Armor Abilities: Remove Active camo,Jetpack, and Promethan vision the rest of the AAs are fine and balanced. Active camo is another thing that promotes camping and sitting in a corner with the boltshot waiting for someone to run towards you which is the reason why it was a power up in halo 3 and halo 2 just put camo on the map and it should work fine. Jetpack No get it out of halo being able to fly super high in the air breaks maps apart and basically lets you get anywhere on the map where as people who dont use jetpack cant get there remove this from halo please. Promethean vision: Stupid why is there a wallhack in halo? Being able to see where anyone is at on the map is just darn right overpowered it breaks setups and makes it so a player and his team knows where the other team is at at all times. However make the AAs not in loadouts make them map pickups or in a ordnance.
Perks: No get them out of halo resupply should be built into the game and its basically another thing 343 took from cod that isnt balanced.
Ordnance
Ordnance: Random Ordnance basically breaks the point of learning where weapons spawn on the map and what time they spawn it just creates randomness every few minutes a random weapon spawns on the map showing u exactly where the weapon spawned at which lowers the skill gap in halo. Instead remove random ordnance and make power weapons spawn on the map with no indicators to where they are on a timer this increases the skill gap and forces players to learn maps where the power weapons spawn and what time they spawn. Random Ordnance along with personal ordnance makes it so far to many people have a power weapon or power up which makes gameplay cluttered unpredictable random and unbalanced its basically like killstreaks from cod (Cod things do not work in halo why do you think cod doesnt have a health shield that recharges like halo it would break the game). Instead make personal ordnance give u a Armor ability such as thruster pack or have it give u 2 plasma grenades or pulse grenades.
Weapons and powerups
Incineration cannon: No need to basically have 2 massive explosive weapons on the map just remove this weapon and only have rockets on the map the incineration cannon blast radius is far to high and takes far less skill than rockets do.
Halo 4 Needler: Wtf? Why make it a power weapon its power was perfectly fine in halo 3 just use halo 3s needler and make it spawn on the map. It just wrecks people apart who use automatic weapons. The needler use to take some what skill to kill with in halo 3 now its just a noob weapon that is extremly annoying to get killed by when using a automatic.
Radar: The radius is far to high i can basically know where my enemies are at from a pretty good distance lower it back down to 25 meters like it was in halo 3.
Saw: Oh god!!! Most annoying weapon to get killed by its range is to far and its damage is way to high remove it.
Damage boost: Remove from the game way to op. Why do we need a extra damage boost power up when we have power weapons!!! Just bring back the power drain that lowered people with power weapons shields all the way down to 1 shot making them a easier kill.
Speed Boost: We already have mobility with sprint why make us move any faster it just makes strafing way to easy and it lets you get across the map way to fast. Remove this
Overshield: Fine leave it as is just make it so it doesnt tell you where the overshield is.
Game Mechanics
Sprint: Sprint is good and bad i will be discussing both.
Good: Increases Pace of the game
Allows you to run to power weapons faster
Most fps shooters have this and except to have it.
Bad: Breaks map design
2nd life (Get out of jail free card ruins competitive play makes it less skillful)
Takes less skill than not having sprint
It punshies you for mistakes i.e you run out to the open and get blasted on you die but if you have sprint u can strongside to the left and run away. Makes game more skillful
Sprint Final Thoughts: Sprint does not need to be in halo it makes halo less skill and has more bad to it than good.
Flinch: It is completely stupid how someone does not get shot out of their scope when zoomed in it makes sniping way to easy and less skillful because the current sniper has way to much aim assist. Bring back descoping. It takes more to kill someone across the map with descope.
Shield Recharge rate: Shield Recharge wait is to slow it is currently 7.7 seconds please lower it down to 5 seconds. I can not tell you how many times i out br someone than i wait forever for my shields to come back and than someone comes and kills me before they recharge.
Aim Assist: To high and to easy to aim in halo 4 lowers the skill out the just tune it down a little bit force people to learn to aim better.
