How I think the next Halo games should work.

EDIT: This is a fail thread. Read if you want.

We all know that Halo 4 is adding on to what Reach did and is ripping things from COD
(which most of you don’t like).

Anyways. When they decide to make Halo 5 They should NOT follow the same direction Halo 4
goes. Instead they should go back to classic Halo. And either stay there or come up with
different ideas.

Here’s what I mean:

Halo CE → Halo 2 → Halo 3

^These are the “classic Halos”

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

______________________________–> Halo Reach
Halo CE → Halo 2 → Halo 3

^As you see, Halo Reach started to follow a different path. But still came from
original Halos.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

______________________________–> Halo Reach → Halo 4
Halo CE → Halo 2 → Halo 3

^Now here you see that Halo 4 is continuing in the path Reach is going. I’m okay with
this but I’ll show you more.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

______________________________–> Halo Reach → Halo 4 → Halo 5
Halo CE → Halo 2 → Halo 3

As you see, Halo 5 is still continuing the same path. The problem with this is, it’s too
far from the classic Halo and it is a completely different game from Halo CE. Way too
far.

How I think it should work:

1:

______________________________–> Halo Reach → Halo 4
Halo CE → Halo 2 → Halo 3
______________________________–> Halo 5 → Halo 6

Here Halo 5 went back to the old Halo gameplay. (Which means they removed everything from Reach and 4) and started on a new path. With new gameplay that
is closer to classic Halo than it would be if it followed Halo 4.

2:

______________________________–> Halo Reach → Halo 4
Halo CE → Halo 2 → Halo 3 → Halo 5 – Halo 6

Here Halo 5 went back to classic and stayed there. So the gameplay in H5 would be classic.
As would Halo 6. (Unless it went off a different path)

So in a nutshell, I’m saying that if they don’t take a few steps backward, it may change
to much.

I hope my crappy text diagrams are easy to understand.

… really? You just had to say that, didn’t you. Saying that wasn’t neccesary, is getting quite annoying, and is only going to cause some unneccesary and off-topic arguments here.

And, if 343i are making their Halo, Halo 4… why would they scrap all of it? They want to make their Halo, and I doubt they would stop after one game.

Stopped reading after first line. Absolute bull and invalidates the rest of this stupid thread. Try again.

Any game feature or war game is instantly ripping off Call of Duty? Fun fact almost every feature in any Call of Duty game pre existed before the franchise was even established or any of the recent titles.

This is frustrating.

All I saw was a bunch of lines.

^^^Dang. I look like an idiot^^^

Let’s wait to see how Halo 4 plays before we start calling for them to abandon what they’ve done in it for the next game.

Jeez the game isn’t even out yet…

Yeah. I was just in deep thought. I like how Halo 4 is going.

> So either you’ve just invented your own geometry which no one else understands, or the format was completely messed up on my phone.

The first one.

Luckily for us, that didn’t take much work.

Sounds to me like you shouldn’t buy it then and when it comes out play Halo 3 with the 5 people that will be left.

is this supposed to be a timeline?
