Active Camouflage: Basically, the way it is in reach. Don’t change it, Its my favorite ability (both to use and when someone else uses it on the other team). It forces people to slow down and observe their surroundings so the game becomes less of a ‘rush’ or ‘shoot first and ask questions later’ type of game.
Sprint: Its not that bad of an ability but if I had to change it I would make it so when the ability is activated: it not only allows the user to run faster but ALSO jump higher. Its only common sense that if one’s armor allows them to run faster, those same muscles’ and joints should be able to make one jump higher… Perhaps a jump will consume more energy to be used than a sprint. Also, upon the player being shot at and hit when using the sprint ability… The user of sprint should stumble and slow down. By stumble, i mean maybe unwillingly run to the left or right.
Armor lock: This is a ability that gets hate but also love from many players. I personally think it works just fine, but the emp blast that is given off upon coming out of the lock needs to be removed. The ability will still damage vehicles that run into it OR players that attempt to melee when it is activate… However, I don’t see the point in the emp blast when most of the time the advantage of the ability is waiting for backup… As it is now, it is my opinion it is overpowered.
Jet Pack: Too much energy is consumed when using the ability, I believe less energy should be consumed for a trade of a slower energy regeneration.
Hologram: Now this ability can use the most work… It is hardly ever used for a reason. Anyone remember the boss in halo 2 that you fight as the orbiter? He used Holograms and it worked perfectly… I was thinking and I think I know how it could work in Halo 4. Upon activation of a hologram, the hologram will walk in a straight line. Once an enemy opponent is in the line of sight of the hologram, the hologram with turn and start firing at the enemy (at the same time moving around so it is not obvious its not a player). I also believe that the hologram should show up as a red dot on the enemy’s radar…
Evade: It should simply be added to more matches… if people WANT to use it, let them. I think armor abilities add diversity to the game play, no two matches should be the same.

slow game play is BAD / we learned that from REACH
Active Camouflage: needs to be a single use power up like in HALO 3 !!!
I’m going to be quite frank, I love AA’s so a certain extent. Armor lock was horrible so I am happy it won’t be returning. All other returning AA’s need to be “Revised” and made to better fit into Halo, and how it needs to function as a whole.
> slow game play is BAD / we learned that from REACH
No, slow gameplay is good. You seem to be confusing kill times with all of the gameplay.
Ever play Battlefield? Ever play on a big map in any Halo game?
We need more of that, but the competitive crowd is dead set on turning Halo into CoD.

No jetpack to void map design, no armour lock to let people try and escape being bested.
Evade in games where it is the only ability.
Active Camo - no. Just NO. It was the best in previous halos, like in Combat Evolved camo spawned randomly on most maps, either that or in its place was an overshield. You grab active camo you should be invisible until you attack and should NOT be forced to crawl to stay invisible. Since reach is a prequel it makes sense that camo would suck, but let’s remember how it was in halo 1-3. Per canon the tech gets better, and so it should stay that way in multiplayer as well. The way it is in reach is practically useless. You move more than a foot a minute and anyone can see you.
Make people move faster so sprint isn’t needed that badly. Keep it off small maps.
Hologram isn’t that usefull, sometimes you can fool someone but it isn’t often.
Fast gameplay is more fun, unless you’re playing sniper fight I can’t see why you would want a slow paced fps. On top of that the ridiculous respawn times, I feel like I’m going to fall asleep sometimes waiting up to 10 seconds to respawn, it should be a 1 second respawn. Maximum 3 seconds if you want a different ability, any more than that and you wonder why you should stay there. In games of assault in reach where the respawn is 10 seconds sometimes I feel like quitting out of boredom waiting to respawn.
On top of all that either limit their use, make the recharge for abilities longer, or my preffered choice, make them pickups and single use items.
There hasn’t been news on what Active Camo’s doing other than returning for Halo 4.
Sprint’s being given to everyone, allowing Jetpack to not be that big of a deal to run to cover in. Also, what you mentioned is already been confirmed for a while.
Armor Lock’s gone.
Evade’s position is unknown.
Hologram is staying the same.
Promethean Vision is making its first appearance. It should help counter campers and possibly Active Camo since they described the ability as using Sonar to detect things.
Jet Pack’s deal is currently unknown as well. However, with Sprint, I don’t think it will be as bad since all of us can run into cover as well if those start the fight.
Active Camo: Should be returned to its Halo 2/3 form, as a pickup.
Sprint: Leave it the way it will be in Halo 4, as a default ability.
Jetpack: Make it more like a Jump pack, only able to get you to a spot several feet above you, rather than being able to fly hundreds of feet in the air like in Reach.
Hologram: It’s fine the way it is.
Promethean Vision: By the way 343 described it, it sounds pretty balanced, not too overpowering. I don’t really have enough information to provide a solid opinion on it yet.
No more Armor Lock (thank god) and I don’t know if Evade is returning.
