Let’s face it halo 2-3 was the best halo game made. 343 did a good job on halo 5 besides messing up the aim accleration. If I could create the next halo game I would bring back the old br radicals and lead your shots like in halo 3 everyone use to go to a custom game and practice at getting better at the game it made you a good player if someone wasn’t as good as you out played simple I would ever put in the new stuff sprint maybe tone the speed down because you do feel like a spartan but I will going into a game being good practicing my shots to be able to kill 2 cause I 4 shot them and they simple just missed me. Anyways that’s how I feel halo should go instead of going forward why not take a step back and make a good skilled game again. Don’t get me wrong halo reach and halo 4-5 take skill but not near as much in my option. What do you guys think
Whats cool about the halo community is the great expanse of players who favor different play styles than others! I loved Halo 2, without a doubt, however I feel (and this is my personal opinion) that Halo 4 and Halo 5 have went in the right direction, with quicker and more fluid game mechanics, and more responsive damage meters. I understand where the
“skilled” progression ideology comes from, but I feel that just came about through the technology available to make a multiplayer game at the time of Halo 2-3. I feel that the mechanics of modern shooters is the only direction Halo can take in order to survive and appease the masses.
OP, I love your opinion, and I do agree with some points, however, I am a fan of the speed of the game, and I think they’re going in the right direction with the game.
They could release a game that is actually finished and works properly from launch. That’d help a lot.
But we haven’t seen anything like that from a Halo game since Halo: Reach back in 2010, so…
I have to agree with the speed, the older games, 2 and 3, whilst being awesome when released, they now feel very slow and dated, they are fantastic games, but old, I think 343 are doing fine now.

But this game has worked perfectly since launch…
Halo will never be “#1” as long as 343 is in charge of it.
