How I think Abilities should be implemented

Since the beginning we’ve had Pick-ups from over shields and camo then they evolved to EMP radar glitching and shield reviving all of these things are one use only.In Halo 1 we had no control when to use camo or when to buff up our shields they were just there. In Halo 3 these abilities were great advantages to the battlefield but since they were one time use we had to make them count.

In Hal- er I mean Reach we are Given Rechargeable abilities that are present each time we Spawn,Now we see things change since these abilities are rechargeable they are abused and considered overpowering. We must think back why we had those great moments in Halo 3 and two we had One time use Items and we made them count./End of obvious no -Yoink- Sherlock.

Now In Halo 4 why don’t we make the abilities one time Use Pickups.
Example:
let’s look at ArmorLock at a close range armor lock can be used to take out the shields of opponents and stun vehicles,Why not combine that with the Power drain from H3,Again as a pickup one use only.

discuss.

Of course dude, everyone should start the same and pick up stuff on the map. It’s not a bad idea to keep some armour abilities. Camo, Thruster, Bubbleshield and Hologram seem like viable ones, but AL will get so much hate if it comes back. It’s extremely unbalanced even for a powerup.

but It won’t be armor lock,it’’ just be an evolved version of the power drain pick up single use drains shields and stuns vehicles, maybe we can make it so the user of the ability get’s some of his or her shields somehow affected as well

Of course things need to return, like power drain and radar jammer, but anything similar to AL will be shunned.

I completely support this, as I did in the thread in which we discussed this very thing

I have always liked this idea. I think that if they combined sprint and evade to make an all direction sprint (since it appears to be a built in ability now), then it would help make the game faster paced and still retain the all-important aspect of fighting back. It would also make close quarters battles that much more epic.

Saying sprint makes the game faster-paced is taboo on these forums :S

It shouldn’t be. I really don’t see how it wouldn’t. You move faster, and can do more within a short time. It gets you into battles faster and helps you get out of them.

Unless you consider faster kills as quick gameplay, which I think is just less Halo-like.

I’m not gonna make this into a sprint thread so keep thinking that running faster is faster gameplay. When we say we want faster kills, we want Halo 2 kill times…

O.k…
I can respect our differences. After all, Halo means different things to different people.
