The reason I’m asking is because I’m trying not to have a repeat of Halo Reach.
I dunno about you guys, but when Reach came out, I was hyped like crazy. All the events, the gameplay and all that got me excited. Game came out, It was good, felt like it wasn’t nearly as good as I wanted it to be.
So, I’m doing the opposite to Halo 4. I’m excited, but not nearly to the same degree as Reach, so it’s better than expected. But I want to know this:
Are you ‘hyped’ for Halo 4?
If not, why, and have you had other experiences where you ‘overhyped’ yourself.
If you’re not hyped you wont be let down if it isn’t what you expect.
Personally I’m looking forward to it, like any other new release I like the sound off I’ll play it either way.
All I have to say is Brink, Resident Evil Raccoon City and Duke Nukem Forever.
Im really excited, the only thing is i feel like ive watched too any info videos and stuff. for example i know my way around all the maps without even playing them LOL. so some of that ‘new’ has gone from it already if you get what i mean.

I learned to contain my excitement with Halo 2. Since then I’ve been able to enjoy the games a whole lot more, so I’m deliberately not excited.
Not that much tbh. My hype has slowly burned out. I think it’s the aggressive marketing campaign’s fault. We were given so many details about the game, let alone the leaks. Remember the last time you bought a new game and it could truly surprise you?
Looking forward to the singleplayer and co-op. Not remotely bothered aboot multiplayer matchmaking
I was at definitely over excited for Reach. I am not doing the same thing this time. I am looking forward to it but, I am trying to to expect to much. The good thing is it is being done by someone else besides bungee so my expectations don’t have to be high.
Somewhat. I’m bored of playing the same games over and over, but I put Halo down when Bungie announced they were done. Doesn’t mean I can’t change my opinion once I get it

I think I’m just really hyped about finally getting to play a new game, not necessarily a new Halo game. My game library very rarely gets a new addition outside of Christmas.

Yep, when Halo 5 is about to come out, I’ll try to avoid any info on it, official or leaked.
So hyped I keep checking in my front hall to see if it’s been delivered yet, even though I damn well know there’s no post on Sundays.
About as hyped as I was for Skyward Sword last year. So more then insanely hyped, I’m just like a kid on Christmas morning.
