Remember the people who said “lETs jUsT SeE hOw the gAMe tUrnS oUT” and “jUsT gIVE THeM tiMe” ?
How unsurprising that they are predictably proved wrong.
5 years of dev time and a whopping 10 multiplayer maps. That’s 2 maps completed PER year. Even Indie Game SplitGate has a whopping 20+ maps, and the design and layout is far better.
This game should have launched with no less than 20 maps and 15 game modes. Minimum. And full playlists at least on par with MCC. And voice chat in Lobby. And the option to get all of the in game content for a Seasonal subscription. Absolute 100% incompetence by people who don’t understand the franchise and how to make good decisions.
At least the artists, armor designers, sound design, voicework, A.I ( best Halo AI yet ) and music at 343i are top tier.
Can’t say the rest for the writing team, multiplayer design, progression system, ranking system, UI and more.
Honestly think they should have actual artists and art directors running the studio, because I trust their opinions more than people who don’t have experience with technical design skills.

Microsoft should Collab with Ubisoft since they actually know how to make an Open World game. Preferably the studio that Made Assassin’s Creed Origins or the one who made the insanely cool Ragnarok DLC.
Despite being a difficult to make Desert environment, that world had tons of variety in the biome and the map was HUGE.
Halo Infinite’s biome is prob one of the easiest ones they could have chosen and it was still lacking variety that is found in the PNW Biome of the Northwest.
No Rainforest ( yeah PNW has rainforests ), no full Swamps, no actual mountains, no coastal Regions, no dense forests
The game felt like a giant Quarry with trees placed inside and I mostly only enjoyed the indoor Forerunner levels.

‘RELAX! it’s a 10 year long live service that is also f2p. this is the game, just give the devs more time. the current state of the game is fine because of that. the gameplay is fun enough to be acceptable and thus the best halo game. ya’l are just whinning about non important cosmetics, jeeze, grow up’ - 343 defender(s) probably
