How Hard would it be to make Norfang into real life? Basically Norfang is just a regular sniper rifle that shoots exploding bullets. I wonder if actually already have a a sniper rifle that shoots exploding bullets…i bet the US is hiding it in Area 51…

I’m pretty sure High Explosive-Dual Purpose (HE-DP) rounds are an actual thing. Just take any modern day sniper rifle of a similar caliber and modify it to accept that type of ammunition.
They aren’t hiding it… It’s already a real thing they even have rounds that can penetrate walls/ cover and then explode.

They are. There are sniper rifles and rounds in real life much deadlier than their halo counterparts. The only thing really futuristic about Halo sniper rifles is their perfectly straight trajectory.

Although taking into consideration the future armor its up against it would make sense that it does less damage
Realistically it would be difficult to make a Nornfang
14.5x114mm APFSDS HE-AP Rounds would be odd to make
unless it’s just AP-HE and not a APFSDS round anymore.
Besides a normal person shouldn’t be able to shoulder a SRS99-S5 Rifle (the Halo 4 and 5 Sniper rifles) so recoil is in question.
My beef is the Ammo, and it’s Recoil
The sniper is basically a Barrett M107, and it can fire armor piercing explosive rounds already.
I would love to own a paintball/airsoft nornfang. that would be dopppe.

They already have one better than the Norfang. Ballistic rounds with tracking and the ability to adjust trajectory with fins—i.e. homing rounds that can easily hit moving targets:
.50 cal sniper homing rounds
Also, someone built a version of the assault rifle used in Aliens 2: Aliens2 rifle
They already have been using programmable rounds in Afghanistan that can kill behind walls: XM25
