Hi guys this is only my second post so I’m still new. As most of you on this forum i’m looking forward to the remake of Halo CE. I’ve beat every level on legendary except for The Library. Could someone please compare this mission to Cortana on Legendary.
Well for me at least it was way harder, the reason I am saying this is that in my opinion there are more flood, it is darker and harder to see them, and also there is only 1 strait path and no invisibility that you can take to get around them or you have to be a really fast runner :P, and my last reason is that you dont have swords, or GravHammers that you can use to just bash your way through. This are most of my reasons on why it is harder, hope they help. But one last thing, you should look forward to it. Even though it is hard you can still have a lot of fun.
at least they don’t have puer forms in combt evolved or else the library would be a lot harder

That would terrible, also it would be god awful if they had the flood transforming forms, could you imagin trying to kill one of those in the pitch black
The Library wasn’t too hard on Legendary. It was one of the easier levels, in fact. What was annoying was its length.
Well since it’s just a different graphics engine over the old one it is the same, enimies act like they used to, all the files for voice acting is the same and not redone at all, pretty much all of it is gonna be the same. Other than the fact that I went through the whole CE campaign by myself on legendary a few days ago then thought to myselft “Wait, why am I doing this, I’ll just have to do it again in November?”
The Library isn’t actually hard if you know the ins and outs already. The individual battles also aren’t that tough, but since that level is large and there are many, many battles to be fought, it can get a bit bothersome.
Anyway, you’ll do a lot better once you realise one important thing: the plasma pistol rocks. No other weapon can take down Flood combat forms that consistently on basically any range. Last time I’ve played through The Library on legendary I didn’t even touch the shotgun.
Grab the shotgun and walk backwards. Easy as pie.
You’re kidding me right? The Library was one of the easier levels because their was no covenant to fight at all. Just grab the shotgun and assault rifle/rocket launcher and boom, you just beated The Library on legendary.
It is pretty difficult mainly because it is so long and checkpoints are really far apart. I like how creepy it is. Really fun and challenging. 
I remember having the most trouble on Two Betrayals.
The Library is no where near as bad as most people make it out to be. It was actually one of the easier missions so long as you make sure to watch your ammo. The flood are extremely easy so long as you use AR’s, Shotguns, Magnums, and the occasional Rockets.

Cortana was easy. all you had to do was run right through it
The Library on Legendary isn’t as hard as Keyes. That’s all you really need to know.

Cut out the ARs. Stick to the Shotgun and Magnum, Melee infection forms, and if you run out of ammo for one of them feel free to grab a Plasma Rifle, they tore flood apart in Halo CE AND Halo 3.

Thats what I did a few weeks ago but also, the audio files are completely redone, even the voices, if you pay close attention to what cortana says in the grunt funeral skull trailer then you would know that she says something way different.

QFT
Magnum with shotgun backup is all I needed. The only difficult parts are the containment section near the end, and the actual final fight if you bother to actually stay and fight the whole thing through. Otherwise it’s a pretty simple level.
The library wasn’t too hard, but on legendary, it made individual fights longer, and it’s a very dull and long level to begin with, which make it very not fun. Plus the Plasma pistol does just chew up pretty much everything. Hold on to a pp and a pistol for best results. Oh, and watch the vents.
OMG! r u kiddin! I died like every 2 secs! HALOLJK
Boring. Although I’m pretty sure I could handle it, I am not willing to waste my time going through that level. Cortana had more interesting combat and scenery and the only time The Library had something similar was when the rocket launcher Flood appeared.
