so if weapon/vehicle coatings cost 200 credits, that is $15
Armor coatings cost 300 cr, that is $27
Total money is $42
With my logic, that is actually a fair bundle price

still too much In my eyes, I’d agree if you could apply the armour coatings to the other cores. but as of right now…
And that’s totally fine.
I’m just saying, if we go by what people say is a fair price for stuff in the store…that fits within the realm of fair.
The realm of fair would be a system thats far kinder than this.
An option would be a very cool addition to the game. I can’t see it happening though.
They don’t actually cost anything.
It’s the secondary market that is driving the cost of Red Shift which was a free with a pre-order of a game, and it’s the purchase of a Razer headset that includes a code for Deathly Poison or the secondary market that allows for the purchase of the coating separately.
I know it sounds like I’m splitting hairs here but you’re trying really hard to make it sound like Microsoft is getting the kickback for what scalpers are charging here.
I don’t think it’s as easy as countless discussions have made it sound. I know a few other topics brought this point up with the Watchdog coating, but what if there’s no slider and the coating is simply textured in one layer that way?
In that case, now every coating needs to get reworked so that a new layer can work with it to achieve the result that’s being asked for.
I’m not trying to make excuses for 343, as a very much amateur cut rate graphic “designer” myself layers within a design suite program are essential for maintaining and producing a functional piece of art.
If you pay 25 cents per scratch.
No idea why vehicle emblem were left out so these really only give 3/4th of the value.
You should look up the coatings if you haven’t seen them. Some of them are kinda cool (Kovan is Green Camo).
6 items with the collective value of 6/7ths, because the Wasp gets a different coating instead of finishing the set. Hope you aren’t OCD!
*The Act of Genesis and Requiem Revengeance Stance aren’t available for unknown reasons even though it says they can be found in Campaign. 343 hasn’t said anything about this to my knowledge.
Because F the Hydra, Sidekick and Sniper apparently

…because Halopedia didn’t have it at first glance. So if any of this is wrong… sorry ![]()
It’s gonna be fixed in 30 years.
hear me out… 343 is incapable of doing so. i mean… if it is a pain to add a playlist on the menu, then they can’t really develop anything stable, can they? honestly infinite and the slipspace engine may as well be source spagetti 2.0
Anyone remember Doom 2016 had that Weathering Toggle where you can toggle the how much Dirt & Scratches on your Armor? Would be awesome to have that back
This exactly. There is a hidden dirt/worn slider in game. 343 should just make it visible and for everybody to use!
Even if you don’t buy from a scalper they cost a lot. The headset is 150? Red Shift is only available from buying the game in stores in the US. The rest of the world can only get it from buying it from a scalper. And then we have the new/clean HCS coatings. Which are limited because the coatings are locked on kits and cannot be used on your own Spartan. 343/microsoft can prefent these coatings to be sold for 120 by scalpers by simply adding solution into the game. So they are to blame for refusing to give players options in Halo Infinite.
If they can’t add a slider to the game, they can fix it by dropping every coating as a new version and a dirty/worn version. OR they fix it by either drop every coating as new or worn/dirty.
Whether you like it or not, customization has always been important in Halo games. Just because it is not important to YOU doesn’t make it unimportant.
343’s dumb UI.
I love this idea. I would especially like this option for the Yoroi armor coatings which in general feel worn out.
Or how about all armours starting out shiny and new and slowly go from dirty to worn out as a match progresses?
So… this one might be a bit difficult, but it actually requires some work for some people to make for each individual piece of equipment. That being said, they have made a few with the damage, so they could presumably just allow for the changing of hues & such to change it to be for all. Idk.
I think this would be a cool idea. To be blunt though, I think some of the more plasitic-y looking coatings should be reworked, they look like crap and make the game look worse by merely existing. Same goes for visors with zero shaders like the Legend visor.
