Dear fellow Halo players,
Currently I am really struggling with Halo 5. I have a 1.17 kd in it. In halo reach I had a 1.76 and halo 4 I had almost a 2.0. However I haven’t been able to come anywhere close to these kd ratios in halo 5. Is halo 5 harder than the other halos? Or is there a smaller skill gap so I encounter better players? I want to be good at the game, I really do. I’ve even started a YouTube channel to upload gameplay to. But if I’m not good then there’s no point in uploading any of the gameplay to YouTube. https://youtu.be/4UEEjV94cMI. This is the best I’ve been able to do in the past two weeks. I’ve been feeling like a complete scrub at halo lately. Is anyone else struggling to get good at halo 5? Anyone who’s good have any tips to give me?
Edit: I should also mention that about 90% of the time I run alone.
You’re getting matched against people of equal skill more often so you’re getting k/d s of 1 more often. This means the skill gap is wide. That 2 you have in h4 is because the skill gap was low in H4. You’re fighting more skilled opponents so you’ll have to up your game if you want that +10 k/d that you would have gotten in H4.
Best tip is to watch those better than yourself play and steal their moves. That’s what we did in the original trilogy days and it works now. Try watching the HC for ideas.

Thanks man will do! The main thing that I’ve been struggling with in halo 5 is aiming. I’ve learned that you’re supposed to aim primarily with the left stick. As soon as I touch the right stuck my aim goes all over the place!
Also I found it hard to play on MCC. Even halo 4. So maybe I’m just not used to the Xbox One controller.
