halo 4: prepare to cry edition
I didn’t cry, but I definitely did feel the emotional weight behind the scene.
Tears of disappointment of the game I had experienced as a whole.
i didnt cry but it got me in the feels
I would say that the ending of Halo 4 was a prime example on how to create a sad tone. However, it didn’t cause any tears.
I dehidrated
I teared up a little to be honest
Not that i didn’t find any of the other halos emotional (because i did (especially the end of halo 3)) but halo 4 was the only halo that I’ve ever shed a tear for.
It was the text at the very end that said “Every great journey begins with a single step. This is our beginning. Thanks for trusting us with the universe you love and joining us on this epic adventure” -343 Industries.
I feel like i needed to check and see if i had any childhood truma
I cried on the inside.
Didn’t cry, but it was a roller coaster that’s for sure
Tears of disappointment that they turned a game that carried themes such as heroism, sacrifice, and the greater good into a drama.
No tears. Anger and disappointment. I had high expectations for 343 coming into Halo 4 but the way the game changed the art style, story-telling style and frustrating new enemies made each second of playing feeling less like Halo than the last. They made a good game, solid enough to be a good game on it’s own but the betrayal of very core aspects of Halo ruined it for me.
The ending didn’t make sense, it was a deus ex machina moment, Cortana making a hard light shield - something we’ve never seen her do before or anything remotely like that. Didn’t make sense. Including quick time events just seemed so lazy for the final boss battle and it was again so far from what Halo was built to be.
