I’m not against of redesigns, as long as it respects what it was before and makes sense canonically. For exampe, DMR from Reach to Halo 4 = good. From Halo 4 to 5 it was terrible and didn’t even resemble what it was meant to be. Not to mention, there was almost no time between a version and another, it was too fast. Also, please don’t make stuff appear like it’s made out of play-doh, it’s ugly AF and distracts from Halo’s military vibe. I feel infinite kinda does with chief.
I get where you’re coming from, but Halo evolves naturally in my opinion. 343 Industries knows what they’re doing here. In any game company, or any form of entertainment for that matter, you got to think of the fans as a confused bunch who can make or break you, they often flip and flop on what they want and are quick to switch up their interest. If a company keeps recycling the same content repeatdly, the fans will grow tired and demand change, but if they do something different, fans will demand older themes to returm. 343 Industries is not afraid to experiment with concept and they did a good job at keeping it anchored to the Halo series regardless. Halo Infinite likely will be a combination of old and new for everyone to enjoy.
