I have no idea why, but I was playing Halo Custom Edition, and I had this short little idea of what happens at the end of Halo.
(This is the end a final book that is released after Halo 6.)
John: Spartan 117 to blue team, the anti-infantry turrets are down, I repeat the turrets are down!
Fred-104: Moving in.
-screams- (Auuggh) I’m hit!
Kelly- Snipers! Move to cover!
John-117: This is John, will Fred make it?
Kelly-087: -puzzled- Fred’s fine. . .he just respawned
John-117: Kelly, I don’t understand. Respawned?
(John growing unexplainably nervous, sweat finding itself on the back of his head)
Fred: Jo-
"John! Bedtime!"
The little boy shut down his game console once again and scurried off to bed to dream until another day where he would go on amazing adventures in a universe he knew as “Halo”.

> How Halo should have ended; Halo 3
Halo games, maybe. and still very arguable.
A lot can be done with Halo. Ending it at 3 games??
I think that metaphorically, the Master Chief entering the cryotube was sorta like Bungie saying goodbye to a grown-up kid moving out in the world. It felt appropriate and humbled for the Master Chief to have a well deserved rest and Bungie passing the torch and him over to 343i for adoption. Many will argue about this, but I wished that Halo 3 ended with for the Chief. But I am grateful that he’s back and going to save the universe, twice now, and all I have to say is “That’s my boy!”
I don’t know… I think my brain cells would pop if I saw that the halo universe was in a kids head… However IF it did happen… it would be cool for the camera to pan back to 2 ONI officers in his bedroom… Would be absolutely awesome and a little mind boggling…
