This is what I think. Please post your opinions below.
I was not pleased with a lot of the Halo 5 armors. I was further displeased with them being included in the RNG system that are req packs. Here is how I think the armor should be handled:
The design shouldn’t be overplayed. Certain armors from Halo 3 or Reach should be at least 85% faithful with 15% updated designs, just like how the mark IV, mark VI, and noble team armors were made in Halo 5. Don’t make 4 different paint schemes since that just takes up space in the game that could be used better or simply saved to take up less space in general. Since some armors, like seeker, should just go away. Others, like Fotus or Scanner, could use a simple MINOR redesign. Still more, such as rogue, need to dial all the way back to the design which previously held that name so as to he more faithful to long time fans.
Do NOT include more than 50% of the armors in the req packs. Warzone weapons are fine there since that is exactly where they belong, but not armors. Mark 6 should be available from the start like it was in Halo 2 and 3 along with the recruit armor. Master Chief’s armor (halo 5 version) should be playable in multiplayer if you intend to acknowledge its existence. The player has always been able to wear the main character armor in multiplayer for most Halo’s existence. Mark IV and mark V (and mark v b) should be easy unlocks since they are baseline models that canonically are of the least significance whereas they hold the most satisfaction in using them. The more special the armor, the harder it should be to get. Do NOT lock armors behind a pay wall. I can not stress this enough. Everyone should have a chance to earn it if they put in the effort. Don’t just make it so you have to pay to earn cool stuff. I personally hate that. I’ve done it, I will shamefully admit, but I didn’t like doing it. KT completely robs a player of the satisfaction of special accomplishments.
