How halo 6 can have an awesome multiplayer

We improve Warzone by adding in the following gametypes :

  • Warzone CTF - this variant contains both nuetral and multi CTF. Nuetral flag will have a flag in the centre of the map which is heavily surrounded by OP enemies who respawn every time a flag is captured. The Enemies guarding the flag consist of covenant and Promethians fighting against both the 2 teams and each other. To make things more interesting the team with the flag has to bring it to the enemy home base. - Warzone strongholds - this variant of Warzone is solely based on map control with it acting very similar to the normal strongholds but there is only one difference. If a team has one base controlled the can still score but the team with THE MOST amount of controlled bases can score faster. - Improve regular Warzone - this can be done by :
  • Making the AI adversaries less OP and greatly reduce their health. - Making a req level balance so that an enemy team doesn’t have a HUGE advantage in terms of req level over the other team. - Make the boss fights more interesting. This can be done by having powerful enemies dropping loot and getting rewards for taking down a boss. Say if you take down a Mantis you can get a free to use mantis req card. There are many other ways to fix Warzone so please say how in the comments.4. Add in other Warzone modes like Warzone VIP and Warzone FFA (which play on much smaller maps similar to Warzone Assault). Keep Warzone Assault and Warzone Firefight (which needs a lot of improvement). All Warzone modes will have Spartan abilities. Keep Warzone assault and fix Warzone firefight too.

Then we have Arena which is going to be split into “Classic” and “Advanced”
Advanced will play similarly to how halo 5’s plays with a much more fast paced gameplay which appeals to casual gamers and to be the e-sports part of the game. This section will include the following gamemodes :

  • A playlist similar to Team Arena which contains a mix of the best gamemodes and maps in one rotating playlist - Slayer (ranked + gametypes like FFA and Doubles) - Team objective (social) - Capture the flag (social) - Strongholds/Territories (social) - Breakout (ranked and original version + gametypes)Classic would play like halo 3 and would NOT have the likes of sprint, thruster etc and it would contain :

  • Social slayer (including gametypes) - BTB (with tonnes of gamemodes and Dev made maps) - Infection (including gametypes) - Swat (including gametypes) - KOTH (including gametypes) - Rotating ball playlist (oddball, assault and Grifball + gametypes) - Action sack with classic modes like FFA Swat and fiesta.Warzone and Advanced will have Spartan abilities except for Spartan charge (obviously) and smart scope as it heavily increases weapon range and weapon accuracy as it allows for one player to shoot across the maps (in halo 1-4 this was different as only some weapons had scope and for the ones that did, the scope blocked off a god portion of your vision).

Both will revolve around a 1-50 ranking system and will feature the map voting system. For the classic part of Arena the maps consist of pervious halo maps while advanced will have maps similar to halo 5 where they are built from the ground to support sprint and other new abilities.

I believe this is the best way to make a halo game without splitting its fan base over those who like sprint and those who don’t like sprint.

Looks like you put a lot of effort into this post. Here are my thoughts

  • Having Warzone necessarily means having the req system. I’d rather not see it return in Halo 6. - Splitting playlists into “classic” and “advanced” is a neat idea. The only problem I can see is it will probably lead to population issues. - You said the “advanced” section appeals to casual gamers, but then you go and put Action Sack and Infection under the classic section? - I would also suggest adding BTB Heavies to either section.

When I mean it appeals to casual gamers I mean that it’s made for people who like COD style gameplay. I also added in team objective for people who would prefer a more casual mode. BTB Heavies is just a BTB gametype and I said that BTB should launch with more gametypes.

I was just thinking what could be more casual than Action Sack and Infection? At least for Action Sack, I think it works better with the new mechanics because they make it more actiony. Anyway, I’m just happy as long as we get BTB Heavies.

I think when it comes down to the final design to any great series, its best to look back on the previous successes and ad their genius and more to the game.
