How halo 5 killed halo universe

Halo 5 killed halo only with the campaign. There is many reasons why it did but I’m not covering multiplayer at all. It’s about the future games and the path they all have to follow. All halos now have to be about cortana being GOD and controlling the universe. 343 needs to stop bringing back dead character. For some reason in the halo universe characters just don’t die for some reason. Cortana should not of been brought back in halo 5 at all. When 343 do kill characters they kill the wrong ones.
Jul madama should not of been killed especially how they described him in the books etc. he is built up similar to a prophet so he should of been in many halos. Why would he be with Halsey. Jul is great at manipulating that’s the whole reason why he took over the storm covenant. The only way they can make up his death now is to maybe make his brother avenge his death and follow his path?
Halo 5 just is terrible for campaign. The only thing halo 5 has is multiplayer. Halo was known for its outstanding story. The way 343 handles the game I wouldn’t be surprised if the Didact returned.

Here is what 343 should of done when they first took over halo. They should not of continued with master Chiefs story. They should of waited so they could brainstorm especially since they put almost all of the halos based around him. You will eventually run out of ideas if you only work on one character.

The only way people can truly understand the halo universe now is by buying books. Some people only buy halo for the campaign not the multiplayer. There’s many reasons I’m just tired of characters not officially being dead. Then they add new characters that take up even more space. Halsey I thought she was being punished for her actions? The whole thing about Spartan ops was to lock her up. Why didn’t that happen?

Paragraphs. How do they work

You really should try breaking that up into a few sections or paragraphs as it’s quite hard to follow right now.

I’ll rewrite it since iPhone doesnt agree with me and auto corrects a lot. The paragraph part I agree with

By the way this isn’t bad criticism it’s only mostly talking about the story

If you don’t like it, play the MCC, it’s there for a reason.

> In halo characters seem to never die.

Really? Let me think…
CE/CEA: Captain Keyes
H2/H2A: Tartarus, Prophet of Regret, Prophet of Mercy
H3: Miranda Keyes, Avery Johnson, Prophet of Regret
HReach: Carter-A259, Catherine-B320, Jorge-052, Emile-A239, Spartan-B312/Noble Six
H4: Cortana (only to get revived), Parg 'Vol, Gek 'Lhar
H5: Jul 'Mdama

Split screen was not introduced in halo 2, it was also in Halo CE.

Eh the story line may not be going in the best or most likable direction but it has to go somewhere besides covies try to light a ring and master chief blows up said ring, not to mention there is only so many rings left once they are gone then what? Also am I the only one who didn’t jump off cliff with Cortana dying? Her EXACT words to Chief was,“I am not going with you this time.” That doesn’t mean she died… They assumed she died but that doesn’t mean she did… They once assumed there was only one Halo ring only to discover others… also she isn’t really trying to be a God she is just doing as Halsey once did and do something for a greater good no matter the cost…

343 could bring them back just like they did with cortana

There is so much wrong with this I don’t even…

Halo CE multiplayer changed the way we play FPS on console. Halo CE had a HUUUUGE multiplayer following.

I don’t think anyone can really say what attracts people to halo. I myself would say halos longevity is because of its once popular multiplayer, not the story, but again that’s just me. The story certainly gets people’s attention, but halos multiplayer pulled in millions of players which isn’t even possible anymore this day and age.

Reach was the starting point, 4 was a serious disappointment and the MCC validated everyones worries with 343 and “their” halo. I actually like 5’s MP, even with my serious issues with sprint among other mechanics, map design etc… If 5 was provided instead of 4 we may have a different track in general. Millions left the franchise, it simply may be too late.

I doubt that. Jacob Keyes was assimilated by the Flood and destroyed when Installation 04 was exploded. Tartarus and the Prophet of Regret were killed on Installation 05 which was later glassed by the Sangheili to destroy the Flood infection. The Prophet of Mercy on High Charity and would likely have been used as biomass for the Flood. He also would have been destroyed when High Charity was detonated. Miranda Keyes and the Prophet of Regret were killed on Installation 00. Their corpses would have no chance of being revived/recovered. Johnson’s body would have been destroyed when Installation 04B went up. All of Noble Team sans Jun-A266 died on Reach. Their remains would have become glass or ash when the Covenant glassed the planet. The bodies of Parg 'Vol and Gek 'Lhar would have been destroyed with Requiem. As it stands, the only character that 343 could bring back in a logical manner is Jul 'Mdama through the body double theory that people are currently using.

Anyhow I was never referring to games before halo 4,5 I stated how halo 5 killed halo. 343 doesn’t officially kill characters or if they do they somehow eventually return.

Halo 5 damaged halo very badly, it’s story is messed up and tainted now that cortana isn’t dead and is now a threat. However I have to give an reason as to how this can be fixed. This idea was provided by the Youtuber The Act Man. He suggests a halo 4.5, a game that centers around explaining everything between halo 4 and 5, some more blue team missions, Osiris meeting each other, how they met and trained with each other, where the promethean soldiers came from and how the prometheans have changed all while explaining a chunk of what was left unexplained in halo 5. Then after this is resolved, 343 can make a Halo 6 campaign that makes sense and appeases (most) fans.

If Jul got medical help he could have lived but it would have had to be immediate, and the covenant’s reaction to his “death” may have been the power of rumors or far more likely someone else took over and hiding the fact that he lived

Halo isn’t dead though.

Now Halo 5 is following other shooters.

pretty sure Reach ruined Halo but well you know everything is 343 faults. They have done plenty wrong but the downfall started with Bungies “swan song” to the halo series.
