So, there have obviously been quite a lot of complaints about 343’s newest game but so far what I’ve seen is ranting and citing metacritic about it’s low score. I would be very interested to hear (and probably the people working at 343 are as well) the exact problems that gamers have with Halo 5. And maybe some suggestions of how they should fix these problems should be made as well.

Lets see.
-
All the maps I’ve played seem to be designed for long range combat. They all have long hallways and long lines of sight yet you start with AR/Pistol. (Mind you I like the pistol in Halo 5). Coliseum, Eden, Empire, Plaza, Regret, Truth, Altitude, Crossfire (one of my favs), Orion. All have long hallways and long lines of sight yet every playlist is AR/Pistol start. If they wanted this game to focus around close quarter combat, why are the maps so big?
-
Map variation. Playing the same map game after game weighs heavy on you after a while. It makes the game incredibly boring.
-
Spawns. Spawns are atrocious in this game. Especially in Swat and FFA. I can’t tell you how many games of Swat I’ve played where I’ll spawn in area surrounded by enemies or I’ll spawn in the same spot over and over again essentially giving the other team 3 to 5 easy kills. Not to mention there is lag when you spawn. It feels like you spawn but aren’t able to see the game for 2 seconds while everyone in game sees you the second you spawn, giving the player a huge upper hand and essentially writing you a death sentence.
-
Weapon Balance. I keep hearing how the weapons are so balanced in this game yet AR/SMG/Pistol reign supreme. The other weapons feel pointless to pickup because I can either rush someone with AR/SMG and dominate or put a few shots on someone with an AR/SMG and then finish them off with a quick pistol shot to the head.
-
Lack of playlist variety in this game. Where are all the social playlists? Where is Social Slayer, BTB, Multi-team? I keep hearing about how those playlists are coming but why weren’t they included in the game to begin with? Why do triple a developers keep putting out games that clearly need more work. If you can’t include something in your game that has been apart of Halo since Halo 2, why the -Yoink- are you releasing your game?
-
Forge. Another important element of the game that wasn’t included. I keep hearing how it’s coming it’s coming but again, if you can’t add something to your game that’s been in this series since Halo 3 then clearly you shouldn’t release it till everything can be included in the game.
-
Spartan customization. Where the -Yoink- did it go? Thanks for letting me add ZERO of my personality to my spartan. Great job 343! applause.
-
No LAN support. Great way to kill off the competitive community. Great Job 343!
-
No split screen. A staple of Halo since HALO 1 yet because they had to release this game in 2015, wasn’t added because they couldn’t get 60 FPS to work. That is called being lazy. If I used that excuse at my job I would be fired.
-
The REQ system. I’ll leave it at that. It’s been done way better in other games (CS:GO) but the one in Halo 5 just makes zero -Yoinking!- sense. Most of what you get in req packs can only be used in Warzone.
-
Auto-aim/Controller sensitivity. If you play anything above 6, prepare to find numerous dead zones in the right analog stick. I am now forced to play at 5 when I have always played at an 8.
Those are my complaints. I spent over 1k for this game (2 xbox ones. 1 halo 5 xbox, 1 regular xbox. 2 copies of halo). Halo has been my life since Halo 2. I enjoyed Halo 3, Reach, and 4 but Halo 5 is a huge disappointment in regards to multiplayer.
The campaign is okay but Halo Reach is the best in my opinion. It had the best story, the best characters, the best enemies.
Yep
Here’s what I think is wrong with Halo 5:
RNG
The hype of the campaign that was nowhere near as advertised.
RNG
Poor customization
RNG
Warzone is horridly unbalanced
RNG
Aiming is garbage
RNG
I forgot to mention: RNG
I’m just sitting here wondering why people think 86 is considered low.

Our RNGesus in heaven,
hallowed be your roll.
Your REQ package come,
your roll be done,
on warzone, as it is in arena.
Give us this day our daily REQ,
Need better maps

Unless you read the books in which case halo reach completly -Yoinks!- up the halo continuity of what happened to reach.

Ikr. It’s still green for chriest sake
My only problem so far (haven’t played online that much yet) is how majority of the unlocks weigh so heavily on RNG.
