How good do you think the Spartan bots will be?

I’m thinking everything but Spartans will be easy. What I am excited to know is if there is more than one bot in a match will they be actively working together, say for an objective (protecting flag carriers or ball holders) or to modify gameplay based on what the live players are doing. i.e. callout of snipers, or other power weapons. The thing that makes me doubt their difficulty is advanced movement. I can see them running on rails, which will make them predictable.

What would the highest aimbot level of difficulty be called? Reclaimer?

We’ll see how good they are soon, but I’d imagine that Spartan bots are going to be at least on the level of a semi-decent real life player. One thing I’m curious about is the difficulty level of bots that are going to backfill the spots of quitting players in regular Arena. Are they going to be set to Spartan difficulty by default or will their difficulty be based on, for example, what the current score is? For example, if your team is winning, you might get a Marine bot to replace Jimmy McQuitpants. But if your team is losing by a decent amount (15-20 points), you get a Spartan bot. Either way, I can’t wait to see how well the bots work. I’ve always loved bots as a concept and their decreasing application in modern shooters has been very disappointing to see. Super excited to see them make their first Halo appearance.

If they are anything like in Q3, they will be very good.

i hope they just plug in the dep learning algos to all the matches that are recorded from matchmaking in their and let the algo learn how to play that way. there is gonna be millions of games played. i hope they do it or else they would be wasting a vast data ressource.

Hopefully, they’ll be the first studio to nail the vs. bots experience. Generally, there’s no middle ground. Either they’re total cannon fodder or like 50% of a Warzone lobby - aimbots.

The CoD veteran bots are funny. They just snap onto you and kill you, they literally have aimbot haha.

It’s a poor way of actually helping the player improve as it’s nothing like a real player being better and completely artificial difficulty.

well depends on their goals. if 343 wants bots that can replace quitters that dont drag down the team significantly, then maybe yes, in short. if fthey just want bots because they can, then idk

The bots sound pretty dang good. I’m elated that they don’t get harder or spongey just because they are a higher difficulty. It makes them more fun to fight.

Cant wait for a spartan bot to pull some Mint Blitz style tricks on me

After reading about the bots grappling and flying with energy swords, I am stoked to see what they can do.

well if they want to have bots in mutliplayer and the premise is that everyone has equal starts, then the bots will have the same damage and health with this logic.

They have confirmed some good details on bot difficultly, they’re in for a bad time this weekend haha.
